I agree with you 100%. CBK was a horrible hire & he will lose to Dave Aranda down the road when it really matters.

Aranda should be the guy who takes over when Kelly steps down. Let him get a few more years under his belt. I love the guy and would love to see him as LSU’s head guy provided that he has established a consistent track record of winning.

Honestly, we would be crucifying Aranda for that decision that just gave OSU 7

Opened the door for them to get back in the game. turrible. I’m sure some analytics say to go there .. didn’t work this time.

I don’t think it’s a terrible hire but Aranda should have been the guy.

BK is a great hire, but I still wish we had hired Aranda. BK's resume is obviously better, but I think Aranda is going to be something special down the road.

My biggest fear (as far as LSU football is concerned) is that (1) with BK, we could be a perennial 10-2 team that never gets to the promised land but as they are always a contender, we can never move on from BK, and (2) while we are stuck with BK, Aranda grows into the coach I expect, gets picked up by Alabama when Saban retires, and we have to watch as Alabama continues to dominate with another coach that should have been ours. That would suck enormously.

Aranda may have come here under Les and O retained him for 3 seasons but not many if any think of Aranda as an LSU culture guy.

The LSU cultural fit theory at it’s heart is a racist, regionalistic narrative propagated by the very people who complain the most about these things.

Critical thinking facts called

Normally high scoring, fast scoring offenses leaves d on field more and they generally give up more points because of that.

If Aranda can stay at Baylor and keep developing his craft as a head coach, and his feel as the CEO..and by the time Kelly hangs it up after a few playoff appearances and a couple of NCs. Maybe we can snag Aranda back when he's fully ready and comfortable to lead a program of this caliber. He's the real deal forsure ..and Kelly is a great choice to hold us off till then .

if you listen to a recent interview of Aranda, he talks about personal growth a great deal

he has had to learn many things about himself the last 2 years..

frankly, he didn't come off real confident being ready for the big time...

I love Dave, but after hearing what he said which is refreshingly honest, he's not ready compared to a guy who has been doing this at ND for 12 years.

I trust you understand the difference when paying millions
