Not a make or break game for Leavitt.
People fixate on how much NIL is spent, that's irrelevant. Dude needs to settle in and get comfortable with the system and receivers. He missed the spring, and he's a transfer with zero familiarity with anyone else on the team. That comes from playing and practices together.
And now he's just lost his expected go to guy in Green.

Sam needs to realize that every single play doesn’t have to be a touchdown. Intensity is great, but it needs to be harnessed. Burrow was an intense competitor, but oh so cool under fire.

How many backup QBs do you think Kiffin has found that ended up like Chambliss? How many QBs do you think have done that period? It's extremely rare. It's way more likely he's sitting behind Sam for a reason. What is so hard to understand? Based on media reports, Clark was an interception machine in practices this offseason. He threw like 3-4 picks in one scrimmage.

Watch the film. Our OLine got run completely over. Not many QBs are ever gonna get comfortable in those situations. We better find a left guard that doesn't get annilated every play.

IMO, Sam is a riverboat gambler. He’s going to have exceptional plays and bad plays.

If he throws 4 interceptions in a half along with 10 tipped balls or so (that’s almost a guarantee in a game anyway), I’d be surprised if they don’t pull him but this will likely be a Van Buren situation.

With everything taken into account, the injury, the lack of paying the last year, no spring, learning a new system and having his first SEC game on the road at the team Kiffen left , he’s really ot that far off. The game just needs to slow down for him and that comes with live game reps. I expect him to show some improvement Saturday and build on that because if he can get to that point then he will be a very dangerous QB with those legs.

Well if they lose this weekend it’s the 2nd loss of the season and ensures if you get anymore losses after that you are out of the playoff picture for the season. So yea I’d say it’s make or break for him.

All through camp, etc. people talked about how it would take the offense time to gel. We are seeing that now, but I don’t see anything to suggest it’s time for a reset, much less at the QB position. Absent anymore big injuries, I suspect the coaches still believe in the arc that holds the O will be better in October and November than in these early games.

We don’t have to play 24x better. Just better. It was closer than most think.
On losses, one tends to overplay what went wrong and underplay what went right. Winning team/fan do the same but vice versa.
Just some continue improvement in the passing game to open up the running game and keep the defensive rushers honest. Secondary play just a bitter better.
