Is this week’s game Sam’s “make or break”?

If he struggles significantly do we have to look at getting QB #2 up and going? Chances are remainder of season will make it necessary as we can’t afford to lose to ole miss and A&M and then face the zero margin for error the rest of the season with Sam.

If he makes no progression whatsoever I think you will absolutely see Clark get some looks and potentially get more snaps the next week against a cupcake.

I doubt it. Kiffin will change horses if he thinks that is his best option, but I don't think he feels he is at that point yet.

For it to be the game that breaks him, two things need to happen.
1. He plays exceptionally poor that he is pulled in the 3rd quarter or sooner.
2. One of the back ups would have to come in and shine for the rest of the game.
I think it is more likely he either plays well and locks his spot in, or he plays well enough to make it through the game and they decide to give him more coaching with the schedule getting a bit easier.

My opinion is that he needs to play with more confidence in himself….. I think not participating in spring practice has hurt him

Well if they go 0-2 in SEC with Texas, Alabama, Tennessee still to play it does not look promising.

Clark is second string for a reason and SL is starting for the same reason. He's your best option to win otherwise Kiffin would be looking to put Clark in.

Yep, you can see when he’s targeting Green or Watkins he’s decisive and accurate but when it’s the other guys there’s no trust, no timing and he gets antsy. Needs to build some chemistry with Wilson and Harris.

This is where my head goes, so it feels a little must win to me. I have confidence but I had confidence in our defense going in to ole miss. Maybe it was the first half scheme. Let’s see how the staff plays their cards with another dual threat qb. That will be a big factor in the games outcome imo.
