It has absolutely been a success. You were a top 5 team all year and you’re in the final 4. Not a favorite necessarily to win it all over the last month or more, but now there’s a chance. Great achievement. But you’d sure like for Crews and Skenes and the bunch leaving to get a championship.

It's silly to me that there isn't a 4 or 5 day period to allow the championship series to be a reset.

If they are the 2 best teams at the end they should be at full strength.

50 wins. In the final 4 in Omaha. It’s a success. Did we even lose a SEC series?

Going forward, it’s going to be tough. Florida and Wake are likely tired of hearing about everything LSU for two weeks. You’ll continue to get everyone’s best efforts.

We've had a great season. We won a lot of games, many in dominating fashion. We overcame losing a lot of key arms. We made it to Omaha, and are in the final four. That really is or at least should be a success.

On the other hand, with all the talent this team has, we haven't actually won anything. Didn't win SEC reg season, or the SEC tourney. Players will have some individual hardware, and well deserved, but the LSU trophy room is missing something to show for how great this team is. At this point all we really have left to try to do so is win The CWS, so my vote is that we just go ahead and do that.

Not going 0-2 or 1-2 in the CWS has made it a success for me.

If they lose today, this season is absolutely still a success, considering it’s only year two under Jay Johnson.

Making it to Omaha is a successful year. It’s not one of the top 7 years in program history unless they win it all but it’s still a successful season.

When you consider losing 4 major arms, yes.

Same here. Beat Wake Forest and then it will be a success for me.

We’re in the Final Four with a good shot to win it

I know you know we’ll throw Skenes again if we win tonight

As soon as Taylor went down, and especially when Shores and Edwards did, my expectations changed a bit.

I'm happy to be where we are.

I think we can go farther.

But I think it's a successful season, either way.

100% already a success. Making it TO Omaha is a huge accomplishment, and incredibly difficult to do.

We've now made it to the Semi Finals, which is another level of success.

Great time to be a fan of Tiger baseball! Future is very bright.

We’re in the final 4, 50 wins, and several of our best and/or most popular players ever experienced wins in Omaha.

This season is a resounding success and one of our top 10 most memorable in history no matter what happens next. I expect Crews and especially Skenes will be great ambassadors for LSU once they’re gone just like Burrow.

It’s all about perspective. As fans, like the players, of course we want more. We want #7. But there’s so much to be proud of already, never forget that.

Highly successful season. Final 4 in the country. The margin in these games is razor thin. Lsu baseball is back on the map as a national power.

Its a success already but really losing some of our best arms early kinda put a damper on winning it all for me. I want to beat Wake at least once though.

It has been a successful season. We are one of the four teams still standing.

This season (between the Tigers and my 12 year old son playing) has reignited a passion for baseball in me that has long been dormant.

I have seen every game of the season with two of the greatest players to ever play at LSU.

Yes, I want to see this team win 4 more games, but win or lose from here on out this has been a great season.

If the brackets were a fair split, then it’s a fair reward for how you perform on your way to qualifying for the championship series.

That said, I agree with you because separate brackets will never be equal & the schedule is staggered to begin with between bracket A vs B.

Playing your way past a loss is hard enough without having to tow that weight into the championship series.

Despite all this it still somehow doesn’t feel terribly unfair & I’m happy with where we are at.

We were loaded but we got some really tough breaks on:
1. Injuries
2. Bracket
3. Nothing our way in game 8

Change any one of those 3 things & we’re sitting pretty. Change two & we are in the driver’s seat.

Change all three & were 3-0 with 50 pitchers left + TCU on deck with a potential opportunity to start Skenes in game 1 of the championship series.

It all comes back to injuries & what that does to your depth in a wacky tournament. Gonna need one or two more Ackenhousen type performances.
