it's a success getting to omaha, resetting expectations for the program.

oh and sending Tennessee packing, beating them twice.

We did not win the SEC regular season championship.

If they had held onto the 9-run lead against Miss St, but then crashed out in the regionals like Arkansas did, would you have considered it a successful season? I think Johnson got overly confident in that game and tried too hard to get Little right for the postseason, but overall we are seeing the fruits of Johnson’s efforts to prepare the staff for a postseason run. Van Horn shortened his bullpen to make it through conference play and burned his pitchers out. I’ll take Omaha over an SEC title, especially knowing the reasons why.

As it stands now a 50 win season and 2 wins in Omaha LSU sits on the brink theof good vs great.A win tonight against Wake would erace the bad taste of our 3-2 loss.Wes Johnson has done incredible job with our pitching staff. We have continued success on the mound and our bats wake up...we can and will win it all.

We all want more but definitely a success. Nothing in baseball is a given. Love them or hate them, that Tennessee team last year was great and didn’t even make it.

100% Success. I agree with some that especially after shutting Tenner out last night.
But yeah- let’s go get this thing!

Great season for having to deal with the pitching situation. If we were full strength I think we would take it all or if we were in the other bracket.

this season is for sure a success, the goal every year is to make it to Omaha and go from there. I'm really impressed by how this team overcame pitching injuries and how vets position players step up when the younger players weren't ready.

Didnt win SEC championship or tournament. Would hate to see this really good team in the "what went wrong with that team" category.

How many prior CWS teams do people look back on and ask what went wrong?

If we beat Wake once, we're beating them twice. This game is a must win for them.

You can consider the season a success, but still be wanting more. You can’t really consider it a success but think they NEED to do more.

It is a success. Anyone saying otherwise is not a reasonable person.

Nothing is a guarantee. Tennessee was nimber 1 last year all year and gets knocked out at home in the Supers. Ole Miss barely makes the tournament, plays on the road the entire tournament and wins it all. Final 4 in Omaha with significant pitching injuries during the season is a major sucess.

In that case, I amend my response to your post. I commend you on your use of a classic troll by Burrow and Reese as the backdrop for your own troll.

Success. Refer last year, or the year before that. Or all the way back to '18
