Aaron Nola is on track for the greatest LSU MLB Tiger of all time

Bregman or Nola may yet wind up with the best careers, but the best was probably Albert Belle or Alvin Dark, as others have mentioned. I just wanted to throw out another guy who hasn’t been mentioned yet- Joe Adcock.

Not best or anything but I feel it’s just not mentioned enough that Chad Ogea was a Jose Mesa blown save away from being a World Series MVP.

You can make an argument that Albert Belle had 2 or 3 of the greatest right handed seasons ever. I’m not sure it’s even close.

Albert Belle has HOF numbers. Period. Non-playing issues plagued him. LeMahieu has had a good career but he won't get serious HOF consideration.

I figure to be the only batter with a batting title in both leagues may help him tremendously on the HOF front.

He really needs to get out of Philly.

I think he actually will if 1 of these things happen.
1. He wins another batting Title
2. He wins a World Series with the Yankees and has a big role

Alvin Dark SHOULD be in the Hall of Fame.
Great MLB career and won the World Series as a player and a manager.

Belle has roughly the same lifetime average as DJ while averaging 130 rbis a season for 12 years. There are very few right handed hitters in the history of the game with numbers like Belle.

Curt Leskanic was a very underrated pitcher

No love for Joe Adcock here huh? 366 HRs and held the record for most total bases in a game (18) for nearly 50 years. He had more hits and only 15 fewer HR than Albert Belle over a 16 year career.

DJ Lemahieu is not making the hall of fame, my man. No shot.

I think Mr. Belle downvoted you, Big Pat.

Joey Belle no question

It’s Belle and 2nd place is not even remotely close. Nola has a chance if he has a long career, but no, it’s gonna be Belle for a while. Crews is interesting because I think he’ll have a short path to the bigs and stick for a long while once he gets there barring injury, but I don’t think he’ll ever be a 40+ home run guy. Probably 25-30ish and steal more bags and certainly play better defense than Belle. He may wind up being an overall better player, but he’ll never match Belle’s offensive peak.

lemahieu is good, but he has to be around longer and done more before you can rank him with Albert Belle, Joe Adcock and Alvin Dark.

Belle was the first $10million/yr player in MLB history.

Albert Belle refuses to go to first after hit by a pitch
They don’t make ‘em like Belle anymore. Hilarious. His own manager is scared of him and ump wants no part of it.
