I THOUGHT IT WAS MULKEY'S SON?

LeMahieu is certainly in the conversation.
Overall, Albert Belle has the numbers to be called the best.
Alvin Dark, Joe Bill Adcock & Ben McDonald are worthy of consideration.
Current players Bregman and Nola could be considered as their careers progress.

ROY in 1948. 3 time All Star and one championship as a player. Also was a manager from 1961 to 1977. Won another championship as a manager.
Street named after him in BR can be described as "sketchy"

No love for Joe Adcock here
Add this to his stats: Only four people ever hit home runs into center field at the oddly shaped Polo Grounds: Luke Easter (Negro Leagues game), Hank Aaron, Lou Brock, and Joe Adcock.

Even suggesting Bregman, who we all love, is on par with Belle much less better is so beyond stupid there is no word for it. I guess we could call something a Lester when it’s that idiotic.

It's Belle by a lot.
Only the emotional types would say otherwise.

Joey was the Ty Cobb of his era.

Joe Adcock and Alvin Dark won't get the votes here because their career was over before most on here were born.

Yeah it's currently Belle and it's not close. He's still the only player to ever hit 50 HRs and 50 doubles in the same season. If you subscribe to OPS, Belle had two seasons with an OPS higher than Mike Trout's career best.
DJ is second. Bregman hasn't played long enough yet but will likely pass both eventually. Bregman's already passed Hill and McDonald.
If they didn't play any more games:
1. Belle
2. LeMahieu
3. Bregman
4/5. Hill and McDonald

No way. Joey Belle was the most feared hitter in MLB for many years. HOF quality.

Name some metrics that DJ is better than Bregman at

They don’t make ‘em like Belle anymore. Hilarious. His own manager is scared of him and ump wants no part of it.
The ball passed by him and hit the handle of the bat. It didn’t hit him. He was right. You can see it glance off the bat above his hands

Belle hit a HR in his last career AB. That is walking off in style.

Wow, I didn't know that. That is a great way to go out. It's rare to hear guys have 20+ homers and 100+ RBI in their last season. And then add homering on their last at bat.

Same HBP Video for those that didn't watch
The comments are awesome: "And this was Albert Belle in a good mood."
