Is it just a coincidence that the offense actually finally improved once Woody came onboard?

We have a winner! This. I have a feeling that Woody had a chat with Eaux about the O, namely that if he didn't change it he would be joining Miles as the newest member of the Former LSU Head Coaching association.

You preached patience, and are now asking people to make up their minds after game 2? How this season plays out will go a long way in determining whether O’s short tenure is a success. Thus far, LSU hasn’t achieved anything in the SEC under Orgeron. If LSU loses to Bama and doesn’t win the division or conference, but gets into the playoff, that is a success. If no division or conference title and no playoff berth, that is not a success.

I predict LSU goes 10-2 reg season and gets a NY6 bowl win and the jury will still be out. Next year we find out if LSU can develop a QB from HS. After that he has to prove how he deals with staff attrition. Les was fine with Jimbo and Pellini, but things fell apart quick when he had to restock the staff, which is inevitable with success.

Don't buy this one bit. Just like I refuse to believe that Alleva made O hire Canada, I also refuse to believe Woodward forced Orgeron to make changes.

Orgeron isn't Woodward's hire. If O ends up working on then it just makes his job easier, because he doesn't have to find a coach. I take Woodward as a guy who will go out and get you what you need to help be successful, but he leaves O with the keys to the vehicle to drive as he pleases.

last time I checked we still havent had a season with less than 3 losses. O will earn his stripes by winning titles.

My concern was not failure, it was continuous 3 loss seasons and not getting over the hump. Which was what we already had.

I'll hold off on my pie until seasons end. But my fork is ready and placemat set

exactly.

Why did every turn into lunatics without even giving the man a chance?

because the previous 2 coaches had great runs, we fired the most accomplished coach in lsu history(facts dont care about your opinions)and hired a 55 year old career dline coach that in his life proven he could run a successful side of the ball, let alone a program. His only tenure as a HC was having the worst tenure ever at a program full of shite tenures.

Exactly. The worst AD in college football, conducted the laziest, sloppiest and most amateurish campaign to replace the previous coach and he ended up hiring the least sought-after candidate for the job. Gee I can't imagine why most people weren't more optimistic.

And the O-fans who claim they know championships are coming, can only provide reasoning which is essentially:
1. He talk like us.
2. Baw.

Ricky nothing against you but it seems to me that the error you generally make is in the conclusions you draw from the facts you present not to mention you leave out a lot of facts that go against your narratives

Also we hired Joe Brady before Woodward was hired.

You don’t have to go that far back. The UT game thread was full of “fans” calling out our players and coaches, running them down like dogs.

Would love to see some of those folks eat a little crow

what facts did I leave out willie?

ed orgeron was a 55 year old career dline coach that had never been a successful coordinator or successful hc.

you're just another in a long line of rant posters that cant stand when facts dont support their football ignorant opinions.

I was always behind this hire. People learn from the past. I knew Ed was getting the job before it became public. Just glad to have a good coach at LSU.

I don't know why people can't be excited about the momentum of the program and the changes made while also understanding there is still A LOT of work to be done.

Who says we're not excited this? You're making a lot of assumptions.

Just because Orgeron hasn't been a complete dumpster fire (yet) and is exceeding expectations does not excuse the way Alleva hired Orgeron after that fraud of a "search" in the way he whiffed on Jimbo and Herman.

That cannot happen at a major program like LSU and was more than sufficient cause to fire Alleva. And thankfully he fricked up one last time with Will Wade to make that happen.

We are 2-0, not 12-0. All signs, through two games, point towards Orgeron being an amazing hire. There is still a lot of football left to be played. It's not time to build a statue yet.
exactly. Great win at Texas, but we're 2 games in. Let's see how we do against UF, Auburn, A&M, Bama, etc.

I'm thrilled where we are now, but let's pump the brakes.

And you still sound pissed about the whole thing. For christs sake....quit throwing Miles up in every conversation. No one gives a shite anymore.

Besides, the man is too busy losing to Coastal Carolina these days to prop him up anymore.
