Cam is only 54-years-old. Everyone acts like he's ancient.

Cam isn't going anywhere. I've been telling everyone that since the night it was announced that Les Miles will keep his job.

If Cam is not here for this upcoming season it will be done after NSD not anytime soon, IMO.

No only his play calling is, just like Miles' philosophy is!

Miles got rid of BDP after 2008.

And brought him right back after being a coaching failure elsewhere. You do know BDP is the special teams coach, right? Have you seen shittier special teams than 2015 at LSU?

Not since Dinardo.

Don't you fricking people get it? It's Les Miles' offense. Not Crowton's, not Stud's, not Cam's. Same shite different coordinator. Does not matter who the OC is, it'll be the same "check with me" predictable offense.

Cam may wait and see if any NFL team may have interest for their OC position. Would be win/win for everyone involved. Les/LSU could tell recruits he couldn't turn down NFL (pension for years served etc), Les/LSU didn't fire him so PR is ok there, and Les can get another OC to tweak/add input on O to go with what was brought in on D. All that being said I think he will be back next year. Be interesting to see the salary as finances for the school and state were so much at the forefront during the Miles saga.

We have a Home Run hire for our defense to be set for years.

If I were the AD I would have let Miles walk and would have brought in Tom Herman and paid him $5M year with a heck of a lot of incentives that he could hit to get to almost Saban $$. However that did not happen.

So plan B, find out if Miles wants to coach past next year when Fournette leaves. If not, get rid of Cam and don't resign him, then bring in Tom Herman and pay him $3.5M to Coord the offense (Yes that is correct Herman on Offense and Aranda on Defense!!!- A dream team of coordinators)

Herman is promised $5M to become head coach in 2017 and a raise to $6M (Performance based) in 2018 till 2021 (5 year Contract which is Un-cancelable!!) Also for performance clause a 10 win season gets $6M, less than 10 wins then he gets $5M. $300,000 to win the SEC, $300,000 to make the 4 team playoff and $400,000 to win the National Tile. So a Natty makes him $7M and we do not need clauses if he wins a Natty he becomes the highest paid coach, because $7M is some serious cash.

Then, we add 2 years to Aranda's deal for a total of 5 years and pay him $1.5M the added 2 years (also non cancelable) so we have Herman and Aranda for 5 years and we become a dynasty.

That is what I would want as their agent or as a consultant to LSU to hire the best, pay them great money, and guarantee LSU to be a winner and win 1-2 natty's in a 5 year span

Yes of course I know that. But in 2008 Les didn't know he'd have a chance to rehire him a few years later. For all they knew at the time that was it.

I'm just saying the notion that Les only hires his buddies and keeps them solely for that reason is, IMO, kind of ridiculous.

People who say this do not know anything about football. Are their similar aspects to the offense across coordinators? Certainly. But, Crowton, Stud, and Cam's offense are in no way, shape or form the same in terms of scheme and play calling.

Cam is staying. Harris wanted him on the sidelines due to play being changed so much after Cam called it.

thank the heavens you are not AD at LSU. this is probably the single most STUPID fricking action I have ever seen proposed. paying a HEAD COACH WITH ONE frickING YEARS EXPERIENCE the same money as nick saban.

tom herman might be a great coach but the overall, overwhelming reason he had such a great year is that he inherited some great fricking players. Houston is a hotbed of athletes and many stay home and play for UH. tom herman has NEVER EVEN HAD A RECRUITING YEAR as a HC. and you would pay 25 million dollars to fire Miles and hire this second year coach for ten million a year!

dumbass doesn't do justice to your ability.
