Is it a lock that Cam Cameron is re-signed?

If he was still under contract for next year, then I think he would undoubtedly be back. But, we have to re-sign him to a new deal. What would that look like? 1-2 deal at a reduced cost? I could easily see Cameron "retiring" after signing day maybe due to health concerns and Les hiring a young, up and comer like Aranda on the offensive side of the ball.
Thoughts?

Who's coming to Lsu to play offense that would leave if cam was let go???? If they were going to release him it would already be done. Next week will tell if he is the one who goes to visit Haskins

There was a quote from Les pretty much saying that they would continue with Cam on the sideline, but it was in Les speak.
I pretty much took that as we would keep Cam and sign him a new contract.

Miles isn't firing cam

The fact that Cam is the highest paid offensive coordinator in college football is dumbfounding.

Miles does not have to fire him, his contract expired.

I'm so sick of this logic. He'll probably be back next year but this is not why.

Might be sick of the logic but if the shoe fits

Sideline. 56 on Texas Tech. Print the shirts.

I think some of you are missing the key factors here. He needs a new contract to be approved by the Board/AD. Does he take a pay cut? Does Alleva let Miles pay him at the same rate? Additionally, did Miles' half firing scare him? I don't think agree with the logic that Miles will keep Cam Cameron because they're best buds. If he keeps him, it's because he believes that Cam gives us the best chance to win next year.

Miles already said Cameron was going to be on the sideline in 2016

Cam is Recruiting on that QB committed to Maryland and trying to get a visit. Plus 600+ Offensive Yards in the Texas Bowl! Plus Harris is a Junior and Fournette is good for another 2000 yards.

If I see this term one more time I may punch a kitten.
Are all experienced coaches incompetent?

Miles got rid of BDP after 2008. ...wait, but they're such good friends, right? Les would never get rid of his buddy! I even heard people on here say that Miles hired his "buddy" Steele, because...BBQ. He sure didn't put up a big fight to keep him and had his replacement lined up almost immediately. Thought he only hired his BBQ buddies.
If Cam stays it's because Les thinks he can still be a good OC/QB coach. Not because "they're friends."

It's not that, it's that older experienced coaches cost more, are less relatable to high school kids and could retire/have health issues at any point.
therefore younger coaches come with more upside because they generally don't cost more, are more relatable to high school kids, and will likely not retire/have health issues at any point.
i mean honestly, do you not get this? or are you one of those dudes that buys two years ago's phone models because they're "proven"?

Les has a knack for getting really good DC's. He sucks arse picking offensive coordinators though.

Well, Joe Alleva, who many on here are claiming is undercutting the football program, has routinely paid top dollar for assistant football coaches at LSU. Money is not an issue.
You guys just think "a young, up and comer" means a fancy offense. Bruce Arians is an old dude, and not a single LSU fan would not want him calling our offense. (Just threw him out as an example)
