It would be awful.

No more routine games with Florida, Bama, Ole Miss, etc.

Away games would be much farther.

Outside of the Big Ten, nobody else has near the conference prestige.

Say LSU were to prevail and the SEC were to call its bluff and expel LSU or LSU decides to leave, then LSU had better have a safe landing spot in either the ACC or Big 12 because the BIG 10 is not going to see a huge or any advantage in picking them up.

First market share, whereas LSU is a national brand, the Big 10 has big brands and additionally big markets already locked up They have OSU, Michigan, PSU and USC and Oregon out west.....LSU, while nice for them only maybe delivers marginal benefit and less benefit in terms of market share . Plus Fox is not looking to renegotiate its contract right now. New Orleans and BR are not enough to to make the Big 10 covetous. They might salivate over potential eyeballs in Houston, but Houston had A&M and Texas now in the SEC. Adide from the LSU Alumni in Houston, it's a third place school there in terms of loyalty and viewership....at best.

Secondly, LSU now comes in with a tag of troublemaker irrespective of the Kiffin factor. Does the Big 10 want another headache school on its hands like they currently have with Michigan?

So now you are left with the BIG 12 or the ACC....neither is that attractive in terms of money or prestige.....although the ACC would have an edge in that department. Maybe they would like the Gulf Coast market, maybe not. Big 12 would take LSU in a heartbeat but the level of competition would be a detriment to LSU, yeah of course we could win it just about every year in the near future......and that would be a problem inside the membership. Right now Utah is the ascendant program with maybe ASU waiting if it gets its act together. Who is really going to watch those games with everybody playing for second place against LSU.

Personally, I think cooler heads prevail and everyone forgets this in 2 weeks. But what comes out of this is clear rules and it gives cover for the upcoming federal legislation that is inevitably going to arise.

If LSU were forced out of the SEC, wouldn't that void all the media rights deals? ETA: For the conference

You don’t think language for adding or losing members would be included in media deals?

I've given it some thought, and I'll say this. The SEC has treated LSU very poorly. From the league offices, to the refs, across every sport, and with every single issue. They protect their home team, Alabama every chance they have, and when it behooves them to push a team through, they fix games so they can get that team into playoff contention. SEC and the NCAA have jointly ruined college athletics to where I barely watch anymore. So from my point of view F 'em.

I would rather see LSU play in the Big Whatever or the ACC if I'm being honest. I couldn't care less about rivalries, because you'll always have new ones. I think LSU could sign on with another conference and come away with a VERY lucrative deal to do so, and then have better games, better officiating, and a fairer path to the post season across the board.

I hate this crooked arse conference. How many times have we been absolutely fricked over?

Join the big ten and tip the scales. Watch the conference burn.

Back in the Verne Linquist days and the obvious media collusion against us, the Les Miles debactle, the obvious rigging to have LSU v Bama again, I always said LSU should leave for the BIG12. Obviously now the BIG12 wouldn’t be the answer, but back in 2007-2013, that was a strong conference and we would have only made it stronger. A&M and Mizzou would have stayed. Now screw it, the SEC has always treated LSU poorly.

As long as we can form a new conference with the other SEC schools that want to leave Bama and Texas behind. FSU and Clemson and other from ACC can help form this new conference. And ole miss can stay with Bama

LSU is an SEC charter member and should remain so. No Big 12

LSU ending up without a conference is less than ideal. And the SEC is the conference that makes the most sense geographically and financially.

I would be fine with LSU going to run the show in the Big 12 or ACC, commanding real dollars for those conferences to come play in BR and attracting more primetime game interest.

If we went to the ACC and had the Battle of Death Valley annually with Clempson I would be cool.

The money from rev sharing would hurt initially, but I think LSU runs through the Big 12 like shite through a goose

Sad.

LSU was in the SEC before Ssnkey was even born. The LSU/SEC I grew up on has died on Sankey's watch. As much as the game has changed and this is the issue they will burn it all down for?

What would happen is the B1G would snatch us up in a heartbeat. It would then basically surround the SEC and have a national footprint. The SEC would then be forced to replace us with Clemson? FSU? GA Tech? It would be a downgrade for them.

Previously it’s been used as the way to renegotiate deals. I’m sure there is something in there about it. It’s definitely a consideration though.

Go to the BIG with UNC or Miami. Make more money there anyway.
