I'm really starting to get concerned about our baseball fans

I see yall here, I see yall on twitter, and I see yall on facebook all calling to fire CPM... In February. I've never loved CPM. I have disagreed with tons of his decisions. But by god the man has proven us all wrong again and again and has earned judgement until the end of the season. Paul will never be fired midseason bc he does his best work when it matters most - in the postseason. Yall act like this doesnt happen every year. Many of yall will be eating your words when we win the SEC tournament yet again and roll into Omaha on fire. This team has it, but they are very young and need time to figure it out. We are very likely on our last 1-2 years under CPM, but let's enjoy the final ride while it lasts.

The post season eh...u must mean that one time he was forced to win a title because the team was so Uber talented they didn't even need a coach to win

Enjoy? What? Mediocre baseball? Im not sure what I’m supposed to enjoy.
Another Paul team that looks like little leaguers compared to other teams.
Another team that can’t hit the ball (Paul’s recruits)
Paul has never proven me wrong. I love the way he accepts no accountability for his team’s poor performance.

This post is 100% correct but will get no traction here.
The negativity will stay on this board because the majority of this board is represented by miserable people. If this team is not ready when SEC play starts I will join them but I am not expecting that.
Think of it this way, if O loses to Texas next year, they will be asking for his head saying with Joe Brady was the only reason we won.
This board is inundated with little dicks.

Winning the SEC tourney is always fun. But it's not the real postseason, and LSU has struggled there, by their standards, since we won national title.
When they get a favorable draw in regionals they usually make it to the Supers, and sometimes to Omaha. But they look outclassed when they get there, outside of 2017.
It's just got that stale feeling. And that feeling is very familiar from a certain football coach.

Ok so I’ll buy into this wait until the SEC starts narrative. We will see and I will be back im not being a miserable fan. Im just not looking through purple and gold glasses.

I’m am a 100% positiger. I supported The O hire even though I had worries. My job as a fan is to support the brand. But CPM doesn’t not fit here.
Since day one I have not liked him. As much as I enjoyed 09 I dreaded that we would have the wrong coach for years because of it.

I would be more concerned about the baseball program and its future if I were you.

This is a very popular quote among know-it-all baseball superfan assholes on this board and it couldn’t be further from the truth. Mainieri does his best work during the SEC tournament when most good coaches don’t care, because winning the SEC tournament outright doesn’t matter to the teams who already have national seeds locked up IE the good teams.
Skip didn’t win the SEC tournament in 91, 96, or 97 and still went on the win it all in Omaha because it’s meaningless. Very meh thing for Mainieri to hang his hat on. He actually collapses in the real postseason (when it actually matters) pretty regularly and gets knocked out early.

Three trips to Omaha in the last ten years?

LSU baseball used to have some excitement. I would have been major league pissed last night if I had paid to see that, endured the traffic, and frozen my arse off. I turned it off and went to bed for the second time this season. It is just BORING. And Mainieri stands in the dugout looking miserable and constipated.

I agree. But this team is looking rough.

Thank you, you’re the only one not pulling a 180, I was crushed here for saying before the season paw needs to be out, he’s terrible and recruits terribly. Everyone here has to lay in that shite pile now.
