It’s my birthday baws! Born on the same day prohibition ended in 1933. Rye’ing it up tonight
FPD champagne’s store pick
No pics tonight busy as hell preparing for tomorrow this is the lineup
Sazarec full proof
Old Dominick Bonded
1792 sweet wheat
I’m not posting pictures but I’m on my second bottle of the senator single barrel rye and old Dominick bonded.. both are absolutely steals for the price.. just saying
I understand but 1792 single barrel and bonded are not allocated bourbons just like regular buffalo trace.
A serious question to you guys.
I went to one of my go to bourbon places in Lafayette this morning. They are selling bundles ( for example they had EHT Single Barrel paired with fireball) had a discussion with the lady behind the counter they had 1792 bonded, full proof, and single barrel paired with vodka. I asked the lady if they sale the single barrel by itself. She said these are allocated bourbons. I said no they are not. I wasn’t going to argue with her I’ve been buying the single barrel all year long at its twin store. I don’t like the idea of stores trying to make some bourbons allocated. Hell the same store a couple of weeks ago had regular buffalo trace limit one per person. I asked to see a bottle to confirm that it was a regular bottle and it was regular straight bourbon. I asked the girl why is this one person and she said it’s allocated. I said I can get this at any super 1. What are your thoughts about the tactics they are using?

Just to be clear the 1792 single barrel was paired with fireball. I know they are trying to sell stuff they can’t move but it rubs me the wrong way when you classify something as allocated.

FPD Fresh Crack. Going all rye tonight. The Senator single barrel/barrel proof is the first choice. I’m a fan of The Representative so I’m sure this will be good.

FPD Fresh Crack Old Dominick Bonded
Tennessee Whiskey I’ve been waiting to find a bottle around Lafayette for a while..the first female master distiller in Tennessee. Priced at $52.13 after tax. 76% Corn 13% Rye 11% Malted Barley. It has a heavy char in white oak barrels. It’s good stuff! Yea it’s a bourbon.
Fresh crack in honor of LSU getting rid of the loser BK. This is chapter 8 and one of my favorites

With all respect I’m not a fan of kluke..everyone has a different palate.. I also had a google alert for green river wheated winning some kind of world award.. man green river is bad mixer only but I even have a hard time drinking it like that..
Interesting…
I just got a google alert that green river wheated won some kind of bourbon competition.. man green river is TERRIBLE mixer only and I still have trouble drinking it.. good lord I went off on them
I’m having the same thing I’m on pour 3

Just curious if anyone has tried pinhooks collaborative rye it’s a solid white label?
FPD this was one my favorite pours at the AVA tasting in Lafayette finally bought a bottle.
That’s a really good one right there especially for the price
I prefer Eagle rare over Weller special reserve
