Wouldn't you want to see a better product on the field than what Brian Kelly is bringing?

Years ago, I used to feel sorry for the older LSU fans whose final years on Earth were to suffer through Curley Hallman and Gerry Dinardo.

Now, as I'm much older, I see the same situation only its my friends and my generation that must suffer through all the bullshite that is going on at LSU. There are so many improvements to LSU sports now than when I was a student at LSU. Back then, baseball sucked, basketball was hot and cold, track and field was abysmal and women's sports were all but forgotten. That has all changed for the better.

Still, what is an LSU fan to do about a head football coach who seems totally lost and detached. It's as if he's watching a movie that he has no part in. I don't want him to take responsibility, I want him to do a better job. I want him to demand his assistants do better jobs.

I don't dislike Brian Kelly. Sadly, I don't think he cares who in Baton Rouge or the LSU fanbase likes or dislikes him. He is cashing in and will continue to do so.

When will LSU say Enough is Enough....

Sure it is.

The loss at Texas A&M is just as bad as the loss to Auburn when Jamie Howard was the QB.

LSU losing to Alabama reminds me of the type of losses LSU had to Miami, Florida State, and Florida.

I’m 72 years old and I got to witness the 2019 team which was the greatest college football team I have ever seen. I don’t think that kind of season will happen again in my lifetime, but I expect better than what I saw this past Saturday.

we already have more wins this season than we did in '89, '90, '91, 92, '93, or '94.

this is NOT anywhere even close to Curley years.

You aren't going to see that with Brian Kelly.

Love him or hate him, Coach O put all the pieces together to create the greatest team in college football history in 2019.

I don't expect to see that again, I also do expect to see better than what we are witnessing this season.

No, I'm waiting for the idiots that hired Brian Kelly decide how much money they can spend before they decide to fire him and to NEVER give another coach a 10 year 100 million dollar contract.

Tulane's coach is better than Brian Kelly.

The way we lose absolutely is, along with blowout losses at home.

Let’s see how you feel after Vandy beats us at home by two scores.

Now that I'm older I have a little more perspective. LSU football is important, but it's certainly not what I am going to spend time lamenting on message boards in my last 5 years... If this is what you're sad about in your life, you're doing quite well. Quit whining.

First off, mentioning DiNardo in Hallman's breath and not even mentioning Archer is weird. Second off, the old folks now have seen 3 titles, playing for another, along with 5 SEC titles and 2 Heismans. I don't think their suffering is remotely comparable to the suffering of old LSU fans in the 90s.

No it’s not. Quit being so dramatic. The program is in much better shape than it was back then talent-wise, and we’ve had way more wins every year under Kelly than we ever did under Curley. Curley had the worst winning percentage in LSU history.

This thing can be fixed very quickly if the right moves are made. We’re not far off.

The last two games were definitely "Curlyesque."

Never thought I would say this, but I would prefer those 5 years to be coached by Les Miles rather than Brian Kelly. Would easily trade good QB development for a power run game, solid defense, and competent special teams units.

He's literally brought in top 5 classes and 2025's will be one of the best we've ever signed and 2026 there's a bumper crop in LA, probably will expect a true title contender in 2026 if I'm being honest but I feel good about us.

And posters like you would have a nuclear meltdown if LSU hired the head coach of Troy to be the head coach of LSU.

5 years to be coached by Les Miles

Man, some of ya'll are losing your minds.

Early Les with Saban warchest of players and Jamarcus Russell was not the same as the last 4 years of Les.

We may have been appeared to be "in" every game with Les, based on scoreboard, but a 10 point deficit with Les Miles' offense was no different than a 21 point deficit. In those final years of Les, when we went down by double digits, it felt like game was over.

I've at least felt we have always had a chance to come back and win under Kelly until the last 2 weeks with Nuss imploding and forgetting how to play QB.

People just need to accept what LSU is. They are a perennial 9-3 team with a shot at a championship about once every 5 years or so which isn’t much different from all the other elite teams. They’ll never be Bama and have this once a century dynasty run that everyone keeps thinking is coming. I understand it’s hard to accept being just average 4 out of 5 years but it is what it is

Les inherited an extremely stable situation from Nick and so did O I mean, outside of the QB, our 2016 squad consisted of NFL players at every level as did our 2017 team

BK inherited quite the opposite situation of that and, to his fault, not retaining Corey Raymond and making Brian Polian his recruiting coordinator and special teams coach prevented us from returning to 2018-19 levels in terms of talent quality and results quicker than we wanted

Also, Nick Saban finished 8-5 his 3rd year here and I think we were preseason national title picks after the Sugar Bowl win, we're gonna be fine
