They are a perennial 9-3 team with a shot at a championship about once every 5 years or so which isn’t much different from all the other elite teams.
Truth
And that shot at the title generally comes with an experienced QB.

People just need to accept what LSU is. They are a perennial 9-3 team with a shot at a championship about once every 5 years or so which isn’t much different from all the other elite teams. They’ll never be Bama and have this once a century dynasty run that everyone keeps thinking is coming. I understand it’s hard to accept being just average 4 out of 5 years but it is what it is
Agreed, 100%, I think we're a couple of years away now with the warchest BK's bringing but the Acceptance part of the grieving process is actually a relief and breath of fresh air in terms of my expectation of this proud program

My dad passed away in June 2020.
He got to see LSU go 15-0 and Joe Burrow win the Natty and Heisman.
Couldn't ask for a better ending to a life of watching 60+ years of LSU football.

I was a student during the Archer/Hallman years. That was when a trip to the Outback Bowl seemed impossible, because it would have meant we were the third or fourth best team in the SEC.
Now, going to a bowl like that is a disappointment.
Put it this way, my senior year Tennessee came to town and I skipped the game to study...and I was not a dedicated student.

Tulane's coach is better than Brian Kelly.
I do wonder what he would do here. Hmmm...
