I was at the game, and I’m confident that if Kamario played the game would have been a nail biter till the very end. We looked good, but slightly above average. The offense had zero explosive 30+ yard plays. I’m concerned about our vertical threat being non existent. How do we fix that?

You have no clue what the game would’ve turned out like with Taylor in because it would’ve been a completely different game.

Stupid take.

It's encouraging that we were able to move the ball consistently without needing huge chunk plays

That's something we'll need to do to control games and win more contested games

I don’t know, you don’t know, nobody knows.

Can only play the team in front of you.

With MSU not having Kemario, it eliminated the need for any chunk plays to be called, especially later in the game.

He has elite arm strength and throws a petty deep ball. His short and mids throws are not good. I watched him at the manning academy and it was the same thing and has carried into the season. At best it would have been 31-14. I dont think it would have been a nail biter.

Honestly the overall performance wasn’t that far away from Kentucky. Difference is we made the goal line stand to end the half, didn’t give up a special teams TD, and didn’t give up the one big busted play.

On offense we scored touchdowns our first three times we threatened. This game could’ve easily been 17-10 at half and not 21-0. Kentucky could’ve easily been 17-10 LSU instead of 21-17 Kentucky.

Saw it with Georgia and Texas yesterday. The “elite teams” aren’t that much better than the mid tier ones. A few turnovers, couple fourth down conversions or failed conversions and all of the sudden it’s a 50/50 game.

A reasonable criticism from yesterday would have been,

"We really aren't good at stopping the run. State was able to run it pretty effectively even without a QB."

Teams have taken away our deep passes. They just want us to dink and dunk all the way down the field, in hopes that we eventually make a mistake - interception, fumble, penalties, etc.

They think that since our red zone offense is not too good in producing TD's, the worse that could happen is 3 pts.

It seems like a pretty good strategy, but we are putting up a lot of points, so we shall see if the remaining teams try it.

I think they score, but i dont think its close. Maybe 31-14 or 31-10. Kamario being in doesnt change the fact that our offense was able to do whatever the frick they wanted.

Deep passes with 35 mph swirling winds is asking for interceptions. Thanks to Kiffin and Weiss they don't listen to posters at sites like this. Lastly, yes the game would have been a little closer. Howerver, if we had Green, Weeks, Spears, and a healthier Leavitt we would have won by two TD's or more.

They score 14 tops if he had played. The QB position was not their issue yesterday.

How do we fix a game that was played in your imagination? That’s a new one even for an LSU fan, lol. The game I watched LSU won 35-0 and moved the ball well.

I’m not sure where we rank currently, but we were top in the SEC in explosive plays just like two weeks ago.

LSU did not punt until the 4th quarter. But for the fumble and the final possession at the end of the 1st half that started at the 2 yard line LSU scored on every drive in the first 3 quarters. Leavitt didn’t turn the ball over. They were 8/13 on third down.

…and were complaining about the offense because they didn’t score fast enough?

I agree teams have taken away y’all’s deep asses, they’ll try and inject more substance next week.

Was there too, it seems Leavitt is terrified to throw a pic now so he only goes down the field when the wr is wide open. He check down charlie’d his way to a nice stat line. Nothing wrong with that as there was no need to take risks with state being a non threat on offense. He will have to open it up more against better teams though.

I mean miss state was playing deep zone and giving up a ton of cushion they were hellbent on not getting beat over top the announcers even pointed this out. Deep ball wasn’t really available yesterday. Auburn plays a lot of press man to man their will be deep ball opportunities vs them
