Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban once described Auburn's Jordan-Hare Stadium as "haunted," and LSU head coach Lane Kiffin was asked about those comments during his Monday press conference.

Kiffin's response included a funny story about former Auburn basketball coach Bruce Pearl, who tried to convince him that Jordan-Hare Stadium had a little magic to it when Auburn was pursuing him for its head coaching job in 2022.

"I don't think it's haunted, but there's some magical stuff that happens in there," Kiffin said.

"When Auburn was trying to hire me, Bruce Pearl tried to tell me that it was. He's like, 'Hey, you'll get a win every year that you really don't deserve because magical things just happen here. It's haunted.'

"So that's where he got that from."

Kiffin and LSU will get their own taste of Jordan-Hare Stadium this Saturday when the Tigers travel to Auburn for an SEC showdown.

I completely forgot about Auburn's failed attempt at hiring Kiffin. That makes 5 SEC schools that he worked for or that wanted to hire him besides LSU. All of the big 6 except for Georgia.

I don’t think Jordan-Hare is haunted, but I think Samford Hall is.
