The comparison is absurd.

Well this isn’t the best football team ever, you dumbass. Yet, anyway.

There are maybe 5-6 schools in the nation that truly give a damn about baseball and are willing to sink significant resources into the program. Comparing football to baseball is not a great comparison

The great thing about message boards is that the people who are completely ignorant on a topic always out themselves.

Baseball can be turned around with a few select transfers. Building a football team can take years, unless you strike gold with a Burrow.

Pretty ignorant comparison considering what both started off with

I'm not a fire Brian Kelly guy but I am critical based on our expectations and his pay. How long, with the portal, an elite level NIL program, recruiting and his hires, are we gonna excuse his faults with the "look what he started with" bullshite? At some point you have to admit it's his failure. I've got 30 million reasons thus far why it is. 70 more on deck.

Going back 15 years, 13 different teams have won a national title. But sure, only 5-6 care enough to win in baseball.

BK is being compensated like a top tier coach, it's time he produced like one.

Here are the coaches making between $9mil and $10 mill a year:

Mike Norvell:
3-6
5-7
10-3
13-1
1-7

sure he had one great year, but he's had 3 losing seasons.

Kalen DeBoer:
too early to judge him at Alabama.

Mark Stooops:
5-6
10-3
7-6
7-6
3-5
pretty good by Kentucky standards, but he's still a 7-6 guy.

Lane Kiffin:
10-3
8-5
11-2
6-2

that 11-2 year was the best in school history. But looks like a 3 loss per year guy minimum most years. And he has a losing record (1-2) against Kelly)

Eli Drinkwitz
6-7
6-7
11-2
6-2

see: Stoops, Mark

Josh Heupel:
7-6
11-2
9-4
6-1

good turnaround for what was a bad program.

Brian Kelly:
10-4
10-3
6-2

not even finished his 3rd year and already has as many 10 win seasons as anyone else in that price range.

Sounds like he's producing better than most in that price range.

there are twice that many teams just in the SEC that are sinking significant resources into baseball.

Loaded with talent.

Kelly has won everywhere he’s been, including turning around an awful LSU team to a 10 win season. We have had too many recruiting misses, especially on defense. This LSU football team is lacking some talent.

I think we are an over-achieving bad team, not an underachieving great team.

But the Rant told me after the Mississippi State series that the bullpen was trash, we had no #2 starter, the hitters weren’t clutch, and Jay was in over his head!

They also said that Burrow and co would lose 2-3 games after the Auburn game because they didn't "have it"

Not what you thought that season

I have no faith that Brian Kelly is on that level

How is he suppose to be on that level without the same level of talent?

You’re stale, bro. Everyone knows your game. You’re one of the biggest pussies on this board.

Agree with your last sentence - apples and oranges in most respects.

W.r.t. the first, that's not true at all. College baseball is far bigger than that.
