I was the biggest critic of Maineri but he never bottomed out like this.

I’m not going to lie, the way this season has played out has me a little worried about Jay going forward. It has to be more than just “he missed in the portal”. Something is not clicking right in the locker room to be this bad

I feel like the locker room quit on him when he admitted that he missed in the portal on several guys pretty much throwing them under the bus.

If Maineri had to run the portal like you have to now he would have certainly had years like this. I get he’s a few years older now but look at how bad sc was this year….

You can't reason with the "it was just a down year" delusional pumpers
Jay doesn't need to be fired but something's absolutely wrong in the locker room
LSU baseball and Jay Johnson are allowed down years. LSU baseball should never be this god awful

I don’t need help accepting it. It’s sports and the team sucked. It is what it is and there’s literally nothing I can do about it.
I’m just pointing out to all the people who keep acting like it’s been decades since LSU missed the tourney. It happens occasionally.

No you can’t, the pumpers cannot counter any of the legitimate concerns with anything other than “2 of the last 3 nattys”.
The program is currently in free fall and we won’t know if any fix is working until opening SEC series next year.

I’m pretty sure he did that because nothing else worked and he needed to justify playing most of the freshmen over some of them.
