Tells me that we are not paying the amount money other programs do to bring back their top talent.

Campbell had to go. He was sure fire first round. The others are probably day two guys.

Now we are creating our own negative fanfiction scenarios. This board has lost its mind

They knew Jones was a 50/50. Daniels is chasing money but for a guy with ZERO TDs I’m not so sure his production will be missed too badly.
Taylor was a 25% chance at returning.

Nuss was pissed for missing the All SEC team.

Why do we care what you think?

Daniels had a very underwhelming year and had every chance to become the #1 WR with all our injuries and no one taking the lead. Not shocking he couldn't cut it.

Mason Taylor is rated as a top 5 TE going into the draft and isn't going to get any better.

Nuss coming back makes sense because he fumbled the bag down the stretch. If he controls his turnovers hes a 1st rounder next year.

Jones was the only one that was a maybe. Should have come back and tried LT out and made more money but oh well.

Tells me you haven’t been paying attention to what’s happening to every other team out there and are here just to spout bullshite to fit your ignorant arse narrative

I don't think most here really pay attention to CFB outside of LSU.

If you’re a pick I. the first 3 rounds you’re making over a mill a year.
I don't think many TEs are getting that from their college teams.

Daniels is the only surprise to me out of your list.. I don't for one second believe that LSU counted on Mason Taylor back for his SR season. Nussmeier of course came back. Jones was probably 50/50. And of course Campbell as you mentioned was obviously leaving early for the NFL. The two biggest portal surprises to me as far as departures are Daniels and Pimpton with Suggs honorable mention although I understand him more than the first two.

I think a small, but loud and over-reactionary, simple minded segment of the LSU fan base thought LSU was keeping Taylor, Nuss, Daniels, and Jones.

Daniels was our most consistent WR. He will be missed.

So two players leave to go to the NFL and one comes back and your conclusion is that we don't pay enough?

Even 2nd round you're talking $7-10 million. Don't really want to compete with NFL money.

Gotta start taking the jay Johnson approach… assume they are all leaving and find their replacements. If they stay, be prepared to earn your spot.

Taylor was never coming back after the year he had. Jones' stock dropped but sometimes guys want to get started in the NFL and moving towards that second contract.

Daniels while talented was not a top talent. He was injured and is not at number 1 receiver which is why he left. Daniels was good possession receiver this year and he knew LSU was going to the portal at WR.

You must not have watched many games. While his TD production was not there, he was a very dependable WR and made a lot of first down catches. Nuss depended on him more than you think. He will be missed.

There is nobody with common sense that thought we'd keep all four. Before Nuss's turnover party, i thought he was one and done. I was 50/50 on Jones because he didn't perform like he should have this year. Taylor, i expected him to leave, but also play in the bowl game. Daniels i did not expect to leave, but i can easily understand it.

I expected one at best would be here in 2025 before the season started (Nuss). Halfway through i expected 1 would possibly be here in 2025 (Daniels), by the Oklahoma game i only expected Nuss and Daniels to 100% come back.
