Urban Meyer and his malzahn also use H backs and are not always in 3 or 4 wide but they run power spread offenses. It’s not pro style. Canada uses spread concepts. He is multiple and can run many things when needed. People here need to learn wtf is what. Yeah Canada ran pro style here this year just like Norm chows pro and jimbos pro style.

He’s trying to go back to his old ways. He still has old USC days on his mind.

I’d go with whatever style OU and Clemson run. Canada’s offense is actually perfect for LSU, especially with a mobile QB.

Me too, but O was not going to risk losing his job by playing inexperienced Brennan over Etling. Orgeron hears everything because he has local people in his ear, all the time. Hell, his mother probably tells him everything folks down on the bayou are saying. He knows half of the fanbase didn't want him. He knew that shite would have gotten hot real quick with loss, after loss, after loss. He gave zero shites about Brennan; only winning enough games to keep the unhappy fans at bay.

You are looking at it completely opposite.

You are saying you’d rather beat Troy than beat Auburn and UF. Seriously?

A career DL coach can't make up his mind what type offense he wants to run, ha you don't say. These and many other reasons are why people are worried. Plus the meddling and tinkering. There is a reason he was on zero radars for a HC gig, but hey, he's a native and all that crap.

This is how I know he's challenged. Trade a Troy win for a conference loss or two.

Mind-boggling!!!!

I 100% support this. There is a reason that the most advanced league in the sport of football deploy "pro style" offenses. It is because they work the best against great athletes and defenses. There are many styles of pro offenses. Take a look at the balance of the Patriots, Steelers, Seattle, Philly, etc., We should be running a form of PRO, and not the stuff of Canada -- who needs to go.

I'D RATHER NOT LOSE TO FREAKING TROY. PERIOD.

How hard is that to understand. It's a sad state of affars that we even have to have this ridiculous conversation.

So freaking sad that people like you think losing to Troy is ok.

LSU should never lose to Troy. I don't give a damn what games we win after it. It doesn't make up for it. You understand that?

No team that loses to Troy will ever play for anything significant.

Do you hate O and LSU?

There are 5-6 teams on next year’s schedule that are built and talented enough to stop that style offense. Don’t let the wins from 2016 fool you, that’s not the kind of schedule we face ahead.

If he wants to go back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust then he needs to be replaced asap! He will never beat Saban with that offense.

I think a lot of non-offensive coaches revert back to that type of offense because that's all they understand. If he don't understand how and why our offense works now them he is the one that needs to be showed the door. We would have a losing record and got blowed out by Bama with DE at qb in a prostyle offense this year.

our offense only began to work this year when the players got comfortable with all of the shifts and their roles. for the first time in a LONG time, our plays were not uber predictable and we made first downs via passes to TE's and RB's and ran the wildcat successfully. we demolished the aggie defense BECAUSE they sold out to the run and stacked the box and Etling burned them.

if we go back to pro style only, we are in trouble. this years offense was just getting going and our red zone problems were greatly improved.
