I don't normally complain about this and I know those people pay good money for those seats.
But fricking give them away if you aren't going to the game.
I was surprised seeing so many empty seats on the west side because from my perspective it was just about as perfect an atmosphere as you can get. Florida, night game, Electric QB, 65 degrees... It doesn't get much better
Also, I think they finally figured out the traffic situation. Despite the empty seats on the west side, most people stayed well into the 4th quarter and we stayed until the end and had almost zero traffic on our way home.

It could be better but getting 100k out of a place at the same time is going to create traffic no matter what

Shouldn’t have expanded the stadium

Paint all the seats different colors so it looks full.

The stadium was a dud. I'm in 302 and a large portion of people around don't even know what's going on. Sitting there taking selfies. Also on a historic night for our QB we don't even show his stats on the screen at any point in the game. Too busy showing how many first down each teams has via the pass or the run. Let's shout out the dude that just put up 600 yards of offense especially when we've had years when it took 3 games to get that type of production from a team much less one player.

It's a combination of a lot of things.
Traffic being the main one I hear.
But...I also think LSU changed the whole tradition too much by forcing tailgaters off campus and towards River Road.

Both those sections are nearly empty after half time in a one possession night game against Florida.. absolutely embarrassing and unacceptable.
LSU needs to invest in some sort of Geo fencing devises / technology on their paper tickets & electronic tickets. This can easily be done. First time you are out of the vicinity of Death Valley you are warned. The next time you lose your tickets for the rest of the year (they are recirculated on the secondary market to fill with people who actually want to be there). Third offense you are banned for 3 years. Simple as pie..

It does show that the die-hards are in either EZ, while the “old money” or corporate “give-aways” are in the west/east sideline seats. Saw it in person last night. Halftime, and people didn’t refill those chair back seats.
the amount of penis envy from you douchebags who cant afford sidelines seats is nauseating.
why do you care what other people do with their ticket and how they spend their money?
and your proposal is one of the dumbest things i have ever read on here

This. Even richer coming from people who aren't even at the game

You do realize most of them are getting drinks during halftime. It filled back up a few minutes into the 3rd Quarter. Not as full, but it wasn't empty.

I am sick and tired of these whining threads about things that are completely outside of anyone's control. Folks are going to leave when they want to, as they always have.

How about I complain about how you spend and handle your discretionary income?

Then find a better place to park.
For my entire life, I have been a season ticket holder. I will not disclose where I park, but I rarely get hung up in traffic going or coming home from a game. And I don't pay for parking. You have to get creative and willing to walk 5-6 minutes to get to the stadium. We have parked in the same spot forever and that spot is open every time, regardless how early or late I get to campus.

It has become socially acceptable to leave games as early as halftime. People over the course of a season see others leaving early, and it influences them to leave early as well.
All of society is just lemmings following what they see others do.
Social Conformity

I guess I just don't get tailgating for 7/8 hours then going to game only to leave at halftime so I can get home an hour sooner.
