maybe bama, being better.
Why? Our coach is in his third year; theirs is in his first. And there was a lot of attrition from Bama after Saban retired. If we are not better than them we have trouble.

Not sold on 4 seasons in FBS Deboer to get Bama on track immediately.
Deboer didn't just win at a lower level. He dominated that level, going 67-3 and making the championship game 4 out of his 5 years there. He then worked his way up the D-1 ranks. In his first full season at Fresno St. he went 10-3 with some really good offenses. At Washington he took a team that went 4-8 the year before and went 11-2. The next season he goes 14-1 with a loss in the NC game.
Can he maintain the consistent dominance Saban had at Alabama? Probably not. But in the immediacy I'm not sure Alabama could have hired a better HC.

The only truly legit team i see over LSU is UGA. Everything else is speculation until a couple games are played.
We are fans. We are too close and too emotionally invested to the situation to fully 100% objective. But if you were told Team X:
1. Was losing the Heisman trophy winner at QB and two first round WRs from the #1 offense in the nation;
2. Losing the OC of the #1 offense in the nation
3. Is replacing a QB with 55 career starts with a guy who has 1 career start
4. Had one of the worst defenses in football last season
5. Has a completely new defensive staff, but very few new (experienced) players from the year before
Would you be overly bullish on that team? Of course not.

Yeah, remember last year when Hunt warned us about the defense before the season. Then predicted us to lose to FSU. What an idiot
Yea I remember

Everyone is picking Mizzou because of their schedule. Th
same with Ole Miss. People think OM was some power house last year. They beat all of 2 teams with a winning record, LSU and Texas A&M, both in Oxford and both in the last second. They got obliterated by GA and Bama. They were one of the most overrated teams in country last year. This year's schedule is the same for them, a joke.

He has no clue, just throwing out shite hoping it sticks.

I don’t think he is far off.
6th best will have you in the top 15-20 more than likely.
There just isn’t a ton of talent depth within the Jr & Sr classes

And what are you doing when you make your prediction?

LSU is probably the 5th best team behind Georgia, Texas, Bama and Ole Miss.
Can also see mizzou finishing ahead of LSU due to their easy schedule.
If you weren’t a fan of LSU you would admit this team has some MASSIVE question marks. His take is actually really reasonable

He might end up being right. But other than 1-2 obvious teams, I don't know how you can separate the next half dozen teams.
Very thin margins and the picture can look totally different 2 weeks from now.
I dont know how you even say that. Kirby Smart was quoted the other day saying this is his least deepest team hes had at Georgia.

Hunt Palmer can STTDB. He’s a north Louisiana trivia host with an ego problem and big tits

Hunt Palmer is a fricking idiot, I'm surprised this thread isn't anchored or whacked considering the ADMINS shill for Mascona and his cronies

To be honest from what we’ve seen of LSU and the fact that we lost a Heisman winner, I don’t think his prediction is crazy. I think LSU will be a lot better than he thinks, but he’s not that far off.
UGA, TX, Tennessee and Ole Miss all have a strong case to be the top 4.
Bama is way overrated.

Better coached but less talented with probably a tougher schedule. I don't think we end up much different than last year when its all said and done...

He is 100% a half glass empty / proof is in the pudding kinda guy. It's not the worst when coving sports b/c you never put yourself out there with huge takes.

I turn the radio off everyday from 1-3pm. You should too.

It’s not that crazy of a take.
Georgia
Alabama
Texas
Ole Miss
Missouri may finish higher based on schedule.
Right now I’d have LSU at number five. Plenty of questions but also plenty of talent to accomplish anything we want this season.
