How terrible is Brian Kelly if most of us would take back the two coaches we FIRED?

I'd take Les Miles or Ed O back in a heartbeat right now.

Les always had tough as nails teams and was always in the game (with a couple exceptions here and there). We almost always had a chance to win every single game under Miles. He was goofy as frick but the man won games.

Ed O was unique and had more energy than a Red Bull factory. He loved LSU because he grew up cheering for LSU. The man bleeds purple and gold. He usually had LSU in most games as well but wasn't quite Les Miles in that regard. He lost some games he wasn't supposed to but obviously gave us 2019. The man recruited as well as Miles did. Personally I always thought LSU gave him a short leash considering the COVID debacle and kinda thought he deserved another year or so to try to right the ship.

Brian Kelly competed for an SEC championship in his first year here after Ed O's mishandling of the roster. There is absolutely no reason for him to struggle and go backwards as fast and as far as he has since then. Now look at our SEC record under Brian Kelly after almost 3 full seasons - it's abysmal. No excuse for the mile backwards we've gone under his watch. None whatsoever!

Not that it matters, but as a fan I'm over the Brian Kelly experiment. We fired Les Miles and Ed O for lesser problems in my opinion. This Bama game was my final straw. I'm no longer buying season tickets and will put that money towards baseball. I refuse to pay what I pay for tickets and sit in Tiger Stadium to watch us get violated for four straight quarters.

Not even mentioning our season opener record under Kelly.

KELLY HAS TO GO.

Edit: ok, I'm an idiot. Not the first and won't be the last dumb post of mine here . y'all brought me back to reality but I still stand by my desire to want Kelly fired.

I'm not saying he was great but I'd take his teams over Kelly's teams right now.

You’re a fool.
They won 1 championship & were never going to win another. NEVER.

Really the only issue I have with Kelly is our inability to be ready for these opening day games, had we just been more prepared for USC we'd still be in the playoff hunt, it's inexcusable. Doesn't excuse the performance Saturday night but we simply don't have the personnel NOW to defend these types of QBs, had the same issue with Milroe last year.

Laugh all you want but I have no doubt in my mind that Ed O would be an upgrade right now. The program is a dumpster fire.

if Kelly went a mile or so backwards, then Ed went a near incalculable amount backwards.

Orgeron IS THE REASON that we are where we are. Dude completely checked out in 2020-2021 once he got paid. The only losing season in the last quarter century is because of that idiot.

Only irrational fans are saying that. People who know ball and the long game know exactly whats going on.

The ship was on fire and sinking and there was nothing to suggest Captain Ed was interested in, or capable of, fixing it.

Miles went full retard by the end of his tenure and it was time for him to go. But I will give him credit for consistently having his team ready to play big games (well, almost always) and not getting blown the frick out. 2011 Oregon is the best example. Oregon came in with all the hype and LSU just absolutely thumped their arse with Jared friggin Lee under center.

You'll take the 5-6 team or the 6-6 team?

He hasn't "went backwards."

One could argue that there hasn't been any improvement but they haven't "went backwards."

Wut?

Ed O went 5-5 and 6-7 in his last two seasons.

Les went 8-5 and 9-3 in his last two full seasons and started out 2016 at 2-2.

Make it make sense.
