How do you feel if you’re guys like JD Lafleur or Malachi Thomas?

All for getting better but seems like there would be some work to do on the back end to keep those guys happy if we want them back.

Malachi Thomas: not great, there go all of my reps

JD LaFleur: I probably wasn’t playing anyway, but this confirms it

Hopefully they can learn and develop behind Trey’Dez & Dae’Quan. We are a better football team (and MUCH better in that TE room) post-Wright signing

They better get used to it cause in the age of the portal you either have to perform quickly, transfer, or ride it out for a few years and continue to work and develop and earn your time ala Bordelon. Always gonna be competition coming in.

Lafleur has 4 years remaining and Thomas has 3. If I were them, I would put my head down and focus on getting better because TEs can do really well in this offensive system.

They’ll have to wait their turn like the old days or try to go find greener grass. Both have eligibility after this year

If you want to get paid like a professional, expect to get treated like one.

I’m thinking they are probably going to move treydez to essentially being a WR and this probably doesn’t affect me much snaps wise

As a player i want to win and anyone that makes the team better helps us win. LSU is about competition and championships thats why you come here. If not you have already entered the portal. Plus those NIL checks still clear the bank.

They are all getting paid, it’s a business. NFL rosters are constantly looking to upgrade positions, same with universities that want to compete at the highest level now. Player feelings are irrelevant.

Well they gotta get bigger, stronger, faster and smarter or find a place they are the best on the team.

Apparently they aren’t there yet.

It’s unfortunate, but there is a reason Lane was looking elsewhere for players.

That’s the thing, they are probably going to sit, but at least they’re getting paid now. Whereas before, all they had was a promise of a chance to play and a scholarship.

I’ll gladly take their salaries and let Lane recruit over me. I promise I wont get my feelings hurt.

This isn't a place for hurt feelings. You sound like you should be at Ole Piss miss.

How many players do you think are making that much? Genuinely. Do you really think JD Lafleur is making six figures?
