If you didn’t notice the different coverages and pressure, you weren’t watching

It hasn’t been one thing holding us back. It’s been pass rush, coverage, open field tackling, run fits - everything.
Yep. It’s been a terrible combination of all of this and has been tough to watch all season.

We got FOUR consecutive stops… crazy how people are arguing nothing changed, it’s just execution. I would argue that hasn’t happened all season against somewhat decent teams.
Let’s throw the defense a little bone, they did a great job shutting down the run. 40ish Carries 92 yards I wanna say.

This is a major issue. Why did it take into the last game of the year to realize we should play more aggressive.
This should have been identified right after we realized our O was special.
The beauty of a great O like we had should have been you can play an aggressive defense even with sub par talent. This is college ball and pressure breaks kids all the time so bring heat and if we get beat so what.
If our O wasn’t as good I’d understand the bend but don’t break style and maki no people drive on us.

Yeah, the defense was confidently shitting the bed all first half

We all saw a shift after the first drive of the 3rd quarter

Haha that qb was definitely better than max Johnson

All qb's play worse when pressured. It appears that House never got that memo. Can't wait for the annoucement that our entire D coaching staff is gone.....forever. Clueless

I guess we will never know what kept #40 off the field for several games, but that kid is a capital-P Problem for offenses when he’s out there. His ability to spy/pursue sideline to sideline and make plays is noticeable inside the stadium.
Only other things that stood out to me live were the corners giving far less cushion on 2nd & 3rd down in the second half and Guillory manhandling the interior several possessions in a row.
I thought Oghougo benifitted from whatever scheme changes were made. Penn was extra physical this game laterally. He delivered some blows. There is no hope for Saivion Jones, though. He breaks away from blocks a half-second too late and he’s just too slow.

Over the season and especially the last 3 days I watched plenty college football games. I saw quite a few defenses with better quality players and much better coaching schemes with imagination look much better than the product LSU produced this season! Wondering why... recruiting, coaching, lack of quality players, schemes, intensity, adjustments in personnel and adapting personnel, etc. In my 70 years of watching LSU football, this is perhaps the worse defense I have seen LSU put on the football field! Here's hoping for a return to some kind of LSU defense of the past in the season ahead!

Didn’t BK say in a press conference last week he had a gash on his foot and just got the stitches out and would play this game?

Yeah. 2 more possessions wouldn’t have increased JD’s stats. LOL. The stupidity on here is amazing !

It ‘s about players making plays or not making plays in most cases.

Maybe the staff watched MSU manhandle Ole Miss with agressive scheme…

The reality is our defense is lacking talent and good coaching, which is a recipe for catastrophic failure. I feel confident in saying we have one of the worst defenses in the country, regardless of classification. We're not just bad, we're pathetic!

Except number one and number eight in the second half. They both suck.

We gave up 30 to their 3rd string QB who isn’t as good as Max Johnson.
Inb addition, how many games has their Head Coach been in charge.

Yup. Kelly definitely pulled House’s card at half time.
Our guys went from clueless to laser-focused in the second half.
