I didn't see halftime adjustments, I saw a defense we should have seen ALL YEAR.

We got lucky with stops against a 3rd string QB. The defense didn’t change, lol. It’s still bad

Another thread mentioned that our players were taught this at halftime…so likely another defensive coach drew this up and it was installed for the second half.
This cannot be true and if it is, House better pay back half a years salary.

We all saw a shift after the first drive of the 3rd quarter. More blitzing. Spying the QB. More man coverage. Less drop coverage, especially on short yardage. Speights was still terrible, but it got stops. If you didn’t see this, then you don’t know football. Their QB definitely choked when the pressure was put on him, but the defense actually made plays on third and fourth downs.

I saw a slight change and the players finally made a play. The biggest change was we actually made the play, instead of coming close and getting shite on

No, they started playing attacking defense instead of watching QB to see what he is going to do.

BK said in his presser that they made those changes at half. BK was very specific about what changes were made so the OP could be correct

Attacking defense lmao stop it. It was a 3rd string QB in his first start in Tiger Stadium. Do not pump that defense up, ever.

Playing drop vanilla zone with no blitzing or disguising won’t put you in position to do anything but stop deep shots. Even executed well, it’s the most conservative bend don’t break scheme you can play. The offense has to stop itself, and other than the one 4th down drop, that wasn’t happening.
House may very well have called what we were doing, but he hasn’t taken the approach we used all season. We haven’t done anything but play 100% vanilla since the bye week.

No one is saying they are good. But there was a noticeable difference after the first drive of the third quarter.
The only blemish was Speights.
I’m not sure what your point here is.
The defense played better and it was called better.

BK is full of shite. After the FSU loss he cut off a Monday press reporter (think it was Jordy actually) saying Yes, we know how to play combo coverage. Now 11 games later he infers that combo coverage is a concept implemented at halftime of the 12th game of the season lol.

We gave up 30 to their 3rd string QB who isn’t as good as Max Johnson.
