Who the frick is Chris

He is the Wolf of West Lakeshore. Please keep up.

If the price tag on Coach Chris is too high or Sark is able to match, I suggest we pursue Maury Feldman, an 82 year old retired orthodontist and Pop Warner coaching legend known as “The Wolf of East Lakeshore”.

Somebody set up us the bomb.
If he knows he is not staying in Oxford but hasn't decided which outside offer to accept, there is ZERO reason to go on ESPN. None. There is no negotiating leverage to be had. He can only talk himself into potential trouble with all three suitors.

If he is truly undecided and staying in Oxford is in the mix, and he wants to lower the temperature and maintain peace with his current and possibly future employers in Oxford, it makes sense to go on ESPN--with strict topic guidelines--and recenter the discussion on the Ole Miss football season ahead.

My take: he is open to leaving from a career standpoint, but he is willing to stay in Oxford as well. He is concerned about his family and what they want. He has no interest in playing games--open trips for his family to potential destinations, his agent gathering every suitors' best offer and giving Ole Miss the option to match, nothing to hide. He and his family will arrive at a decision together.

Yeah. But it takes him six hours to make a phone call.

Yes, because millions of unemployed white collar workers will need somebody to remodel the cabinets inside their VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER.

You can point to his winning a lot of games and his program building as positives, but you can't deny he has a prickly and sassy personality a lot of the time.

"Sassy"? Good Lord.

I can say this because I'm a Masshole: Brian Kelly is, by far, one of the best behaved Massholes on this or any other planet. He only goes full Masshole on the sidelines when somebody does something stupid. So he yells at a quarterback once in a while. It's not like he's taking a swing at his own son inside a Dunkin or clocking somebody with a tire iron at a wake.

He's like a Boston choir boy, this one. The southerners think he's Attila the Hun.

A quarterback way ahead of his time and a really great guy. Talked horses with him last fall. He’s just “solid people”.

BK is working class Irish Catholic from Boston and a lifelong Red Sox fan.

He will absolutely flip you all kinds of shite if your mouthy arse goes asking for it.
Jim is approaching T. Herman Zweibel territory.

Following the recommendations of many here, the wife and I took dinner at Dr. Jones on Veterans last Saturday. Outstanding.

Both chefs/owners trained in BR and worked for Donald Link and/or Besh as well as a stint in fine dining in Chicago.

We ordered the tapioca croquettes with camembert and a plate of the crab and corn spaghettini appetizers, and they were both very good. The wife is not a big tapioca fan, but I had no issue eating my share and her share.

We both had chicken la plancha. Crazy good with charred Jimmy Nardello peppers and garlic, along with lemon-infused olive oil. I wanted to lick the plate. Bread pudding for dessert left me wanting a bit more of the buttery sauce, but it was excellent as well.

It's pretty cozy in there (this is the former Yakuza House before they relocated to Severn) so you get to know your dining neighbors. The kitchen is very open and the chef met diners at the tables. Very "French bistro meets asian influence" going on with the menu, and it works. No liquor license, so stop by Martin's nearby and grab a bottle of wine before dining.

Great recommendations by those posters who have been there before. Thank you!

Agreed. Yoshida slashed .280/.349/.415 last season on basically one shoulder. The guy can rake.

His running form is impeccable.

Watching him run is one of the subtle joys of baseball. I think All Star Weekend should feature a 40 yard dash between Yoshida and Alejandro Kirk. Must-see TV.

Breslow went to Yale. No, really.

The Red Sox beg to differ.

Masataka Yoshida hits singles. He runs like he learned how to do it by watching You Tube videos.

Been watching the majors for over fifty years. Can't remember a time when the front office types were so smart in pedigree and yet so stupid and reckless in practice.
Brewers might take a flyer on him. They need a right handed bat.

re: Coach O Getting Jiggy

I watched a shirtless Coach O jog up to the intersection of Nicholson and Skip Bertman Drive, lean against the light pole, and wait for three consecutive traffic light cycles while cars honked and people waved at him.

The man will do anything -- literally anything -- to get laid.

Gentlemen...this demands not our scorn, but our respect.

And the Ace Morrison was acting really odd about the 3B coach. He really didn't like the fact that JJ was watching him so closely. I wonder why

Good place to goop some stuff is inside your headband, but it’s tough to get to it without drawing attention if taking your hat off or putting your hands to your hat is not part of your body touch routine.

Unless, of course, there’s something that allows you to repeatedly access your headband.

Not sure, but that kid went to his mouth a lot. A whole lot. Might be nothing, might be something, might be gamesmanship from the LSU coaches. But the kid got unnerved.

I'm not afraid to admit that I read this as "Trump the Chanceto" and assumed it was some type of nickname the Mexican rioters gave him.

I even looked up "chanceto". Twice.
