He got his arse handed to him the entire game. Pavia made him look stupid MULTIPLE times. Perk should be eating a guy like Pavias lunch when he gets into the backfield. Was a bad game for sure.

Carter has been saying this for awhile. BK teams are just one sprung leak after another

Effort has always been Perkins’ biggest issue. I don’t understand why, but he has had several games throughout his career where it seems he doesn’t give a shite.

Even in his good games, he takes plays off. You see DL doing that, but not many back 7 players just don’t try for several snaps. For all the talent he has, he’s awful between the ears.

I can't comment on his effort and never have. Having said that, I have said that his peak at LSU was the Arkansas game in 2023 where he dominated that game and LSU loses without him. Since then he has either been hurt but mainly he isn't a very good football player. I said 2 years ago you will never see a player who LOOKS the part running around the field but that is it.

He has 0 football instincts... I mean 0.00 football instincts. Plus, he has never been a good tackler. As I quoted in an Ole Miss game (not this year), he was "credited" with 6 missed tackles. I remember MANY on this forum said "oh, he is being 'misused' " Noooooo, he is NOT being poorly used. The reason LSU can't find a position for him is one incredibly simply reason. He is a good athlete but NOT a good football player and will be lucky to go 3rd day in the NFL draft. With a lack of strength and a poor football IQ, the NFL isn't interested in guys who simply look good in a uniform. As a 5*, he as been a BUST!

Some of you making comments have no clue what he’s been thru……he tore his knee up and came back months ahead of schedule. He’s 85% at best right now and I’ll take that all day. Each day that goes by will be a better HP on the field. Next year he’ll be a different player playing on Sunday at 100%!

That is so much bullshite! I have heard so many EXCUSES for Perkins it is nauseating. He has ALWAYS been a poor tackler with poor football instincts! And your "next year" comment is laughable. That is always the final excuse after "he was misused". It is "wait till next year". He will probably NOT be playing in the NFL...he MIGHT make a roster as a special teamer or be on a practice squad. That is his ceiling in the NFL IF he even makes a team. If you can't see the issues I've brought up, you are a poor evaluator of football talent.

Lane figured out how to scheme around HP. Vandy replicated it.
Jimbo did this back in 2022 against A&M. He let Perkins run himself out of plays all game and abused him. People have spent 3 years complaining about coaches using Perkins wrong when we've had film for 3 years of how offenses make him not just ineffective, but a hindrance.

It’s worse than that, they’re blaming him for plays that weren’t his responsibility even when he hustled and got back into the play. The personal attacks and character assassination give it away. This has been predicted from the beginning, if things didn’t pan out 2 players would be scapegoated and he’s one of them.

All I know is that play on the goaline was pathetic. That was ZERO effort and could have prevented a TD! I don't know how a coach could watch that and not chew his arse out.

We needed him to show up. Could have used Whit in this one also. I actually had the stomach to watch the replay. We played a sloppy game with tons or mistakes, but we made this game closer than the score. Like BK said, we traded field goals for TDs. 8 pts right there. Pavia should have been stopped behind the line on his last td run. This was very close to being 30 something to 24. Sloppy on both sides of the ball. These guys just don't play clean and smart. We needed Perk to show up, he didn't. We needed Whit.

This was actually 2022 and it was BY FAR his best effort of his entire career. He had a good game vs Clemson and a decent game vs UF, but nothing since that 2022 Ark game has come close.

The worse one was when the running back was stopped and rolled off and fought to gaol line. He just stood there and watched.

Agree as I was there and people around me were upset with his non-name calling performance. He seemed loss so many times.

We could have gotten that fourth down stop at the goal line if it weren’t for Perkins half-assing it and just standing there.
