If he was averaging 96-97 but still touching 100 when it mattered, maybe. But he hasn't hit 100 once. You're telling me that over a nine-game losing streak, there wasn't one high-leverage pitch where he reached back for everything he had? That's nonsense.

One rumor I've seen on X is he is dealing with some arm fatigue which can be nothing but also I've seen that mentioned then surgery. His FB was down 0.7 MPH yesterday averaging 96.3 mph. He was at 93-94 a lot yesterday which could have been due to the heat but he pitched in Louisiana so it wasn't that bad.

Yeah kind of it is. Have you compared all the differences of his first 2 seasons to this year? By that I mean defense behind him, run support, the fact that abs is an actual thing now?
When you are a pitcher who paints corners you aren’t going to get all the calls you got before with abs.
I’ll add that he’s also had 2 years of tendencies for hitters and staffs to watch and study as well as his signature splinker being watched and studied.
Not to mention he’s pretty much on track to games started and strikeouts vs last year. Also a 3.62 era is pretty fricking solid and there is a lot of baseball yet to play.

Also “Mojo” is a made up word and has nothing to do with a pitcher’s ability to throw strikes and get outs.
