Arrenado didn't hit his weight last year. so.....

I agree with last year is last year but that's the information we have to go on. Larson had some bad ABs but so has Pearson.

Arrenado did hit .270 last year but he sucks so far this spring.
Braswell is proven in the SEC as is Larson and has the better glove. Reeves is awesome to bring in for matchups.

Reeves is hitting .371 because they are protecting him in L v L matchups.

And yes his defense is bad. He does not look comfortable even fielding routine balls.

Braswell has value defensively & his batting average is stagnant because he sac bunts every plate appearance.

One day he'll show up at the park with that slider in his pocket again, we just have to hope that is soon because he ain't had it yet.
Actually I just looked it up all of their hitting metrics are virtually identical.

I’ll give you Dickinson but Milam isn’t an SEC SS. He made some great plays at SS but his bat is average. The fact that JJ can recruit so well and not get an SEC SS on campus is troubling.

Dickinson is solid at 2B and at the plate.

Their BA is almost identical to this point and Milam has way less Ks.

This is an unbelievably weird take on Eyanson. His curveball has actually been pretty dominant. His issue is when he leaves his fastball high and in the strike zone. If I had to guess, you have no idea whatsoever his RPM’s are and you’re just throwing shite at the wall to see what sticks.

Eyansons spin rate is one of the main things that got him noticed lol.

By UT?

There are 101 college baseball teams that handle pitchers better than UT, based on OBP. For context, fellow rival LSU is 3rd in the nation.

Good luck with that.

This. If you look at Texas stats our starters beat their starters in WHIP, if you take all the balls Chase Shores got hit less than 90 off the bat we dominating them in WHIP. We've scored 100 more runs than them. They've scored roughly the same amount of runs as Mizzou and their team average is comparable to Mizzou. I think they have a 0.3 ERA advantage but when you've scored 100 less runs you have to have a shorter leash on pitching.
Hernandez & Stanfield, if you want to call them holes.

100 percent and I agree that we can't call them holes because there's no protection there for Hernandez he's the target. Stanfield is doing a job rolling that lineup over. It really changes a ball game when theres no "chalk" outs. Id also say while neither are great Hernandez has been better defensively and that's the priority. You can't win games with a bad catcher at any level. I'd still like to see Arambide get some more looks because in my opinion he's the better all around player just needs reps.

Might explain why LSU has 100 more runs scored than texas

We played them tough for the most part. Kind of got the deer in the headlight thing a couple of times, but it is the first time for many of those guys in a big time hostile environment. Not making excuses, just saying we had some good innings of baseball in there minus a few bad ones.

Momentum killing call Friday night. Sunday dude hit a piss missile in the 9th that got hung in the worst wind in that park will see all season. Tenn got the sweep but they had divine help that's how it goes sometimes UF played good.

Tenner got bailed out Friday and Sunday.
GTFOH....LSU has scored 100 more runs than Texas.
We've played with big leads and guys have had a long leash to figure stuff out. Tenn and LSU are neck and neck in runs scored
The walk off was on Cam Minacci's first pitch, Cole Roland was "meth man".

I had a subscription around 2 years ago, didn't feel like it was worth it for me after the first month so I cancelled. They charged me for the next month so I requested a refund. Couple emails exchanged trying to sell me on keeping it and they refunded me shortly after.

Yea I agree, I'm not a professional pitching coach but I don't like the way Yeskie calls a game at all. I'm not saying I'm right about it but I'm of the opinion that we waste too many pitches.

One could argue than him and Eyanson could trade places. But Eyanson's slow starting is not a good trait in a reliever.
quote:

The goal of all piches is to trick the batter into swinging at something the picher doesnt want them to hit. Throwing a confusing pich away from the plate to trick a batter into swinging is baseball 101. Ask greg madux how many piches he threw over the plate. He wanted to trick everyone into swinging at piches they couldnt hit. If it worked for the best picher ever i dont see why you guys are complaining about our pichers trying to do the same thing!

This is correct in theory but the idea is to work efficiently and not show the opposing team anything you don't have to until you have to. We waste a lot of pitches we shouldn't be wasting this will also lead to starters getting through the lineup less times. Good pitching will beat great hitting but once a guy sees your stuff 2 3 times there ain't much you can do to trick him.
