That might be the worst distraction we could ask for. These guys won’t even be starters.

While I do support the players and the added depth would be beneficial, you don't risk the fine from the SEC. Lane himself said Monday "many places around the country are recruiting those player and if they don't play for you, they will play against you." None of the P4 schools are allowing players to return, so that justification is null and void. This isn't LSU's battle to fight. If anything, I think the players should sue the NCAA and the SEC for the the money they would've made from NIL. I'm a big fan of Lane but he should let this go.

Who is it distracting?

The coaches? No, they are game planning and putting in the final touches for how next week runs?

The team? I doubt any of them care, they weren’t gonna start so no starter would be upset, the 2nd and 3rd guys should be focused on other stuff.

So if coaches and players aren’t distracted then it’s not a distraction. The media asking about it is whatever we can’t control questions.

I don’t think anyone or at least in big numbers actually really cares if we have those kids or not at least for football, but you can not care if we have them or not and point out the problems with how the sec is operating.

Usually hate them, but someone has to act on the absurdity of uneducated judges. Public is probably 90/10 on this issue. Lane needs to stfu and stop encouraging pros to file lawsuits. Time to move on with the team we have and not be the outcasts of the entire football world.

Why does anyone feel we need those 2-3-4 players to compete? We don’t that’s the answer, so why? Just to cause issue and have whoever the fuk is in charge now crawling up our arse for being a disturbance.

We don’t

Ole Miss needs Chambliss

Texas needs Hutson (he’s starting)

We play both teams

Either we get what we want or we blow up their team.

Either way we win.

Ok, a former pro TE and pro DT who played for Ole Miss show up at LSU the week of the Ole Miss game. It won't be a distraction in the locker room. Got it.

With Kiffin, you take the good with the bad. He can't help himself. But the scenario that I was responding to is not ideal.

Why do I have a feeling we will suddenly get a ruling from a federal judge from the Middle District of Louisiana against these conferences

Anything to distract from the
fact the State of Louisiana has
a serious budget issue. $800
million ? The real number is probably closer to double that.

Jeff, just let it go. We don't need to turn everything into a circus act. I about halfway expect Lane to come on the field next Saturday riding an elephant and the Golden Girls twirlling flaming swords.

Let it go.

I don’t agree with Landry on several things….but, he is absolutely right here. Read his entire statement. He put a lot of people in their place.

Those statements are very purposefully structured the way they are. What does ChatGPT have to say about Thoma Bravo?

NCAA had lost in court ever since the House decision. I predict the SEC will prevail in court. Participation in the SEC is not compulsary and the conferences enjoy the ability to create and enforce its bylaws largely supported by the courts. That obviously includes the SEC.

Participation with the NCAA is not compulsory for the conferences either but the TRO rulings by the courts against the NCAA were also to all affiliates to the NCAA which the conferences are…
