I think they lose to Indiana in the Championship. But Miami does have
an extra day of rest.

The problem I think is that Lane hasn’t
just been tampering with Ole Miss. While
I don’t think anything will officially come from this, pissing off other major programs creates issues that come back to bite you.

Rumor is Lane has been texting players,
not just Ole Miss players, and pushing them to jump in the portal. Not using a third party
causes issues.

It was Lane who sent his family on a
well publicized tour of two SEC schools
in the middle of a playoff push. My guess is
is he hoped Ole Miss would fire him and he would collect a negotiated buyout as he
left for LSU. At that point Ole Miss had no choice.

Does anyone on this board think that
football in it’s current form could exist without state and local government funding ? College and Pro football have both look
for government dollars to siphon . Soccer
may be the least “commie” sports in this country when it comes to funding.

Not his team. Once he decided to go to a conference rival, it’s over. He, of course , knew that but he is just trying to spin this
to help recruiting. He wanted to gut the Ole Miss team for LSU next year and to do that
he wants to be perceived as the victim.

It’s not changing jobs, but how you change jobs.
If he costs Ole Miss the chance to host a playoff game because of his actions he deserves all the criticism.
