I had heard that they won't close up the north side because it won't allow enough sunlight for the grass field. Not sure how true that is though.

I think that logic is a polar opposite to reality.

Actually there is plent of ways to expand the nez ....
one way is to build over the road ..... Another is to tear down the p Mac and rebuild it in another location ...

Correct, The Rant argument about can they put a upper deck on the south was funny and went on for years. The NZ won't match the south however. And it may never happen. But there were drawings at one time.

They'd go with artificial turf if that was the case. NOTHING will stand in the way of TAF raping more suite revenue. Before too long, the students will be in the upper deck and they'll put the band on top of the lego blocks. Because money.

I think the criticism of fans leaving too soon is going to increase the 2nd half attendance...hopefully.

Our fans seem to take pride and fire back when people come for us.

Maybe, but it's a national trend so we'll see.

...there's even more standing room only space than I thought there would be.

That doesn't look like much room behind the bleachers. I mean, they need room for people to walk, don't they?

I hope you are right. Leave the north as is.

No worries. I heard that LSU is already in talks to hire the sunshine pumpers from the rant to ensure the field gets the proper amount of light.

Maybe something like this would work for North end zone expansion?

That's what I thought. But I heard it from the head groundskeeper during a tour of the Stadium. Could be one of those thing they just say to people so they can post it on the rant.

why do you say that? doesnt look like much room at all really.

Because the areas next to the scoreboards are both wider and deeper than I thought they were from the 3D seats pic...

...and seriously, out of the four 100K+ stadiums in the SEC, which stadium has more SRO than Tiger Stadium? Kyle Field is the only serious contender...

...and just by looking and comparing the SRO space in Kyle Field's corner towers to the space available atop the SEZ addition, I have to think Tiger Stadium just has more SRO than Kyle Field.

I realize that many of the smaller stadiums in the conference have more SRO than Tiger Stadium. South Carolina, for example, has 5,000 SRO spaces. But that's true because that stadium is open ended.

Depend on it, Tiger Stadium will have an announced attendance in at least one game in excess of 105,000.
