Frank Williams Wade deserves an extension

After inheriting a dumpster fire from Johnny Jones, in only four years, Frank Williams Wade owns the most SEC wins of any coach over the last three seasons. Amidst a black cloud and endless scrutiny from hypocritical media pundits like Dick Vitale, Wade has landed a top 10 recruiting class two straight years. At only 38 years old, Wade is young, hungry, and fearless.
Wade's contract expires June 30, 2023. LSU can leave the termination for cause clause in his contract if anything ever comes of this fruitless NCAA investigation. But the man has more than earned an extension. And it would be nice for future recruits to know that LSU is committed to him.
It's time. Hope Woody makes it happen soon. Can't wait to see Vitale's reaction.

He does. I personally think tPear will be at LSU throughout his career. He has the absolute amazing opportunity to be the best MBB coach in LSU history - without any opposing argument.
Coach Mulkey's hire only solidifies the foundation that LSU basketball will be building. LSU is going to be basketball powerhouse.

Ehh, maybe it would be best to hold off on that until we get the all clear from the ncaa,if they even do that. I would say wait a year from now ,but if you do that ,then you might as well just wait till 2023 and renegotiate a new contract before his expires.
I would be okay with it,I'm just thinking about whether or not they would do it.

Totally agree. Coach Wade has proven himself to be man who enjoys winning and knows what it will take each season to be called such. He is obviously a great recruiter and the strongest evidence is the faith these young mens’ parents place in him. That is why that regardless of whatever roadblocks naysayers place in his path he continues to deliver top notch classes and high percentages of wins. LSU would be wise to ensure Coach Wade remains a Tiger for many years in the future. Boot up!

Just based on on the court he deserves it for sure. The rest of it is such an unknown, who knows what happens with that shite

I give Kansas brass credit for having some big balls. Giving Self a lifetime contact was a bitchslap message to NCAA that they could give a shite less.
And Kansas said Self would not be fired "due to any infractions matter". IF LSU were to get sanctioned years from now at the rate this "investigation" is going, I really hope they stand by Wade regardless. They would never find a better coach.

I like Will Wade as our LSU coach, have no problem with keeping him as he brings a energy to the program but as a business decision a wait and see approach is better.
Also remember the black cloud was self inflicted and in some circles keeping his job was reward enough.
I am certainly in favor of keeping Will Wade as our BB coach and Woodward knows when it is time to extend and throw more money at WW.

Yeah, let's wait until he wins the SEC next season, Kentucky fires Cal and comes after Wade.
He has already "earned the extension" and there is no sign that he has slowed down.

Maybe see if we make a few deep tournament runs? I mean conference wins are nice but you make your dough in March.
