Shouldn’t get an extension until the NCAA stuff is cleared.

What took you so long?

And what happens when the shite is not cleared up by June, '23 when it expires? You want us to call Tony Benford to see if he's available for infinite interim?

Yeah, let's wait until he wins the SEC next season, Kentucky fires Cal and comes after Wade.
Kentucky ain't firing Cal and they sure as hell wouldn't replace him with tPear.

Let's cool the jets. I doubt even Wade wants an extension right now.

So you seriously think that if Woodward offered an extension and raise right now, Wade would shun it?

With the stipulations that would have to come with it, probably.

Wade has very little bargaining power now, but he realizes that could improve greatly if the NCAA clears him and he has a successful season next year.

I have zero trust whatsoever with NCAA and their supposed investigative process. They're never going to officially clear him. And to my knowledge, there is no statute of limitations with this committee/panel they've turned it over to. They'll just leave LSU hanging in the dark indefinitely as their retribution since they have nothing.

I could really care less how much money the University makes on basketball. All I ask for is a competitive team that plays hard and finishes in the top three in the conference every year. Even if they never make it past the sweet sixteen that is still a much better program than we have had since Dale Brown's heyday. Consistency is important. As we have seen in football, you can be on the top one year and at the bottom the next. Admittedly football couldn't get any higher and they were bound to fall some, but we all know that it was a far greater fall that was embarrassing, frustrating and demoralizing. IMO it is better to field good teams every year and not have to consider a season a success only if we make it past the sweet sixteen.
