Only common opponent was LCA

State semifinal game Elijah Haven with 357 passing yards, 6 touchdowns, and 61 rushing yards with a TD 49-48 win

Houston 183 yards passing 1TD 103 yards rushing 1 TD in a 24-22 regular season loss.

I think both are good. I also think stressing about which prep qb in today’s age is unnecessary

Nuss looked great against air every year but he was still a sub 30% deep ball thrower.

What does this have to do with anything?

Just my opinion, trying to take off my P&G glasses. Haven almost certainly has the best NFL projection, largely due to his measurables. He has a cannon attached to his shoulder and can make all the throws.

I'm not going the Moscona route and calling Houston a system QB, but I do think Pop fits Kiffin system better than Haven might. I said it even before CLK got here that Pop just looks like a Kiffin-type QB.

No kidding. The kid is more likely to be a bust then even make the NFL.

Every kid is more likely to be a bust.

Ryan Perrilloux had an NFL MVP ceiling. Having that ceiling does not mean you will reach it.

Haven could be Cam Could be Anthony Richardson. Houston way more likely to be Demond Williams type player. The odds were Houston quicker to start. But Haven prob be back via portal in year 3

Houston is as good of a thrower of the football that exist in HS. He has special arm talent. Haven big body. Great athlete. Weird delivery. Both could be bigtime but the way Houston spins the ball is just different.

Haven is good but the big hype on him is the "higher ceiling" due to his physicals.

This is one of the Brooks Austin videos talking about Houston that I mentioned in another thread. In case some haven’t seen it.

There is another video more recent where he has seen Haven film, and does not rate Haven in the same tier as Houston. Said Haven needs work on throwing motion, footwork and some other stuff over my head.

In a very layman’s analogy:

Cam Ward vs Jameis Winston

I don't really keep up with recruiting any more but could we have landed Haven if we would have tried for him or did we take Houston because of the two, he had the most interest in LSU?
