Can take the Coach out of ULL, but can’t take the ULL out of the coach.

Today was the most emotion I think I’ve seen LSU play with all game. They need to act like they are playing Florida every game. I have no problem with what Florida did. Do you have examples of something dirty they did beside talking shite?

Don't recall an entire offensive unit taunting the student section after a TD until last night.

This season, sure. But ever? Hell, I remember Florida themselves doing it back during the Tebow days

Have you forgotten the cat skeleton on the Florida sidelines after Mike VI passed?

They played their usual stupid games. I am glad we played smarter

When you know you can’t win the game you try to win the fight before the game.

Reminded me of Tulane in the 80s.

It sucks to come into Death Valley and lose the game and the fight.

That last TD with our walkon RB decleating someone was very satisfying.

Great block. And then started talking shite to him after he got up.

Take off the P&G glasses long enough to see it was both teams.

Bald head Billy definitely was talking trash in the locker room, team was unnecessarily trashy all night
glad that frick face got put in his place

Little Billy has always been that way. He was notorious among Sun Belt media for physically threatening reporters. Just last season he had to be restrained from going after an official during a game. He's always been the worst kind of roid-rage meathead redneck.

Gordy Rush said he’d never seen jawing like that after an extra point.

Really? The two biggest jackasses on the field trying to start shite were numbers 4 and 90 on LSU. Perkins was starting shite after every single play.

You don't think this had anything to do with the $hit that was going on before the game even started?

They were. It was little-brother-type stuff. It's as if the head coach was pissed off because he used to work an hour down the road and then didn't get this job.

Napier made a comment about it during the game. I don’t remember what he said exactly, but something along the lines that he liked it or didn’t mind it. They lost, so that’s all that matters.

He talked about it in his postgame presser as well. Basically said he liked the fire from his team, but that they can’t take it too far and let it hurt the team (i.e. the punch in the first half). He also said the punch on Speights was in retaliation for something else, which I don’t doubt.. but that’s the risk you take when you let your team get chippy like that.

I don’t really have a problem with it overall. I feel like that’s what most coaches want - their team to play with as much attitude as possible short of being penalized/hurting the team.

The student section taunt was a little much though.
