It’s a European company that designs roller coasters.

I remember this. That was quite horrifying, and also sad obviously.

Either way, this is going to be a big blow to Six Flags. Six Flags magic mountain was in the news for brain injuries on its X2 coaster.

I’ve also read that ride operators at Six Flags have been inattentive and more interested in goofing off. Then there’s the the cultcha and vibrant diversity in these parks.

Oh yeah I agree. They’re fricked.

I'll never get roller coasters. I've been on two in my life and both times I felt for sure I was gonna go flying

Confusing in that link. 1 dead and 4 injured. Makes it sound like more like it struck something.

Maybe the 4 injured is incorrect

1. The knew someone fell out and was likely dead so, they will claim injuries

2. Ride over and trying to GTFO... tripped...

Thrill rides are thrilling because you are tricking your brain into thinking you are about to die, thus triggering massive amounts of adrenaline to be released.

Some people find it quite the high, it makes me extremely sick. I come off them feeling washed out and horrible, the exact opposite of a high.

Son and I rode this ride in early August in the front row. I had a death grip on both of our lap restraints at first (not like it would have mattered had something gone wrong), but after the 2nd drop it wasn’t too bad. Will not be riding anything like this again

he does appear to be on the "husky" side.

I only ever went to Six Flags once and it was before Goliath was opened so I never rode it.

Out of curiosity here is the ride via video.

Didn’t someone in Orlando fall from one of those tower drop rides at a sketchy park a few years ago?

Yep! Guy was too big for the ride.

Another drop tower accident happened in Louisville IIRC. A cable under tension snapped and sliced off some little girl’s feet at the ankles.

That second to last or last smaller hill is where he fell out. Not at those high ones.

What's crazy is that it took the picture of him falling out of the seat - where it snaps your pics to look at after the ride

The little banking turn thing @ 1:38 struck me as a place someone could get loose as it's the last sorta big sudden shift before the last few dips where the accident took place. No idea though.

It is more around 1:50 or after. The last 5-7 seconds of the ride.

Reading eyewitness reports on X and Reddit, the train returned with the restraints fully up/open. Total cluster of either maintenance or ride ops. Also very unverified and rumor, the rider had been refused entry on other rides due to size.

All the restraints or just the person’s restraint who died?

I only saw one that possibly looked pushed back with no one in the seat in that picture. A few people even had both hands up screaming about situation or bracing against getting hit with their restraints staying in place.

I was there that day. We went home immediately. If I remember correctly, they didn't even close the park after that happened.

Think this is gonna turn out to be a guy who was too big to safely ride this ride, plus a ride worker who just didn’t care enough to tell the guy no.

Honestly why is weight not like the height sign for kids?
