LSU is one of the SEC blue bloods and literally should be untouchable when it comes to suggesting they be “removed”
How dare a team like Texas, who just joined this conference suggest that we be removed.
How can the brass from this conference even bring that to the table as an option? Especially when there are literally dozens of teams doing exactly what we are doing.
How and why is it that LSU is being singled out by the media? Is it really as simple as Lane? If that’s the case that is the most ridiculous media bias and reporting that I can ever remember

It's a complete psyop and it's strange.

This board begged and cheered for Texas to be admitted to the SEC and I said beware. The day will come when you will loathe them more than Bama.
Welcome to the day. As you wished the SEC no longer runs through Birmingham.

Sankey is no Slive. And it's an idle threat anyway

There are zero other teams trying to roster nfl training camp cuts.
I can understand the idea that it’s hypocritical to allow mini camp but not training camp. I can also understand how the 2022 class is getting screwed.
I cannot understand the idea that “everyone else is doing it too.” No they aren’t. I thought that after nfl cut day a handful of other teams would sign bounce back players but they didn’t. LSU is the only team publicly trying to roster guys that signed NFL contracts.
To be clear, I’m not saying I agree. I’m not saying it makes sense. And im not saying you don’t have a point. I’m saying that the entire college football world agrees that there needs to be a line drawn and signing and NFL contract is the line that everyone else has agreed to. LSU is the only team fighting it.
When you look around and everyone else is being an a-hole. Maybe you’re the a-hole.

A court order says it’s OK to do. So why play around with a “it’s just not done” policy?
It’s legal to do so? So why not do it? Because no one else is doing it?

You are leaving out that basically this is boilikg down to playing players ruled ineligible.
Chamblis lies through his teeth and gets denied twice for a red shirt year, gets a local judge to give him an injunction until march 27. Still rulled ineligible but not a peep from the SEC
LSU pursues 3 players that went to the NFL as they were out of eligibility, NCAA passes 5-5 in June of this year. They are ruled to have another year but ncaa rules them ineligible. They get a tro to play, SEC wants to go screeched earth if LSU plays an ineligible player.
And today their AD comes out and has the nerve to say they play by the rules?? Like the world is trolling as why would you say anything when you are the poster child of bullshite selective enforcement

I am trying to think of another sports a ology that fits here…. It’s OK to do but no one does it…. I can’t think of one. Meaning eventually everyone will do it. So we are just the first team to do it. Doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Lane and his move to LSU has been the hottest topic since November. LSU was one of the first in the SEC to explore this, at least publicly. LSU gets the eyeballs and clicks. That’s what it boils down to.
We aren’t going to get in trouble in any way shape or form and the SEC isn’t going to kick us out. This uproar about kicking LSU out is coming from the schools themselves. The same schools that happen to be doing the same exact thing. If they try to do anything, it could be considered violation of antitrust laws because you can’t punish a rival for exercising a legally, recognized right under a court order. We have literally done nothing wrong to this point and Lane has already come out and said that we aren’t going to break any rules and if the court order is reversed, we will follow any court rulings.
Rest easy, we’ve done nothing wrong and nothing will happen except we get to watch everyone else completely crash out around us.

The RB from the Seahawks wants to go back to Oregon State, but they are watching our lawsuit before adding him back.

No they don’t. Their guy never signed a contract.
Not saying that the minicamp waiver doesn’t also seem like a contract but it is not considered an official nfl contract. Players DO sign official NFL contracts to participate in training camp.
Not saying it’s correct but that is where college football has decided to make a stand.

Funny how nobody took a stand when the NCAA told Chambliss he couldn’t play for a sixth year…. Multiple times.

Didn’t read what everyone said but my response is they are scared. LSU still believe it or not is a sleeping giant. If Saban would have stayed at LSU he would have won more or at just as much as he did at Alabama. What is happening is a reckoning

I have never understood the whole “they are scared” thing. LSU is one of the most respected and winningest programs in the country. Top 15 in history. Why are we viewed as the “black sheep”
When we won in 2019 we were celebrated by the media

All of this bullshite over a couple of guys who only had one option to continue their football careers, that weren’t good enough to even get drafted.
But when a few NFL teams asked them if they wanted to try out, they said yes.
Oh no, the horror! How dare them!
Once they learned they could play in college, they said, “damn, that’s where I belong, I want my extra year”.
Oh no, LSU is ruining the sport! WTF are we even talking about her. We need to be ready to fight the other fan bases when we see them this year. This some BS with how we are being treated.
