Depends on o line portal haul. It’s tough to get a bunch of portal guys on the same page. O line is the key

Continuity is a big thing. This year we had a new starting QB and 2 new coordinators. All 3 return next year. That should help some work breaking in all the new transfers. How well the offensive line can gel will likely be the most important factor next season. If we can sneak out of Clemson with a win things will be looking really good.

at Clemson 17-24
vs. La. Tech 52-17
vs. Florida 31-20
vs. SE LA 63-10
at Mississippi 27-30
vs. South Carolina 31-24
at Vanderbilt 37-17
vs. Texas A&M 38-23
at Alabama 17-31
vs. Arkansas 20-16
vs. Western Kentucky 58-13
at Oklahoma 10-17

8-4. I think the Clemson is a pivitol game. I think there is negative psychology at this point of always being 0-1. If LSU does win at Clemson, then I think the LSU-Mississippi game is for a playoff host spot with the winner going 10-2. I think we still lose at Alabama. I have us losing to Oklahoma in this prediction because at 8-3, I think we would be out of it and the energy would not be there.

Last game in Norman will be a playoff elimination game. Playing Mateer in night in late Nov won’t be a layup

We should be very good next year. It’s really on Kelly if we don’t have a great year.

at Clemson W- All streaks must come to an end at some point.
vs. La. Tech W- Blowout.
vs. Florida W- Will be close, but give me that Death Valley advantage.
vs. SE LA W- Blowout.
at Mississippi W- Could be close, but I think we did a better job restocking.
vs. South Carolina W- Even with Sellers, they won't be as good as 2024.
at Vanderbilt W- Easy win.
vs. Texas A&M W- HP40 will earn his NIL this week.
at Alabama L- Could go either way, but in Bryant Denny they'll be ready.
vs. Arkansas W- Our usual trap game becomes the rebound game.
vs. Western Kentucky W- Blowout. Can we move this to Week 0?
at Oklahoma W- Could be the game Nuss stamps his name on the Heisman.

11-1. First round bye.

We know they're going to add another veteran offensive lineman. That gives you two vets from the portal and Chester with a year of experience that is going into his 3rd year where he'll likely play his natural position of guard. That gives you 3 of 5 being older veteran players with experience and the two remaining spots to be filled by a group of very highly recruited younger players.

It's really futile to try to predict records at this point with so much roster fluidity still to come across college football. As it sits right now, LSU has all of the pieces to be one of the premier teams in the country on paper. Let's see how attrition finishes and then make predictions.

Nuss needs to go from about a 5/10 to an 9/10. He needs to control the game in all facets

I think Bakers defense is going to carry this team.

I have Qs about offense; the offensive scheme, execution, and playcalling. WRs weren’t open. Few holes for the RBs. Constant pressure on Nuss.

This offensive system appears to be very easy to defend and disrupt. I’m not sure the portal will fix those things.

You say that, but we just had a group of guys starting 2.5ish years alongside each other somehow (some) played worse this year than previous year(s).

Davis had a tough year getting what he should have out of this OL, I've seen stranger things happen when a lot of guys get replaced.

He was more like an 8/10 this season being the highest graded player on the offense.

Fix the interior OLine, which it seems like we are trying to do, and good things will happen. We just cant have Chester/Mubenga playing like they did alongside each other multiple games in a row, it was brutal to this offense.

Florida State is the poster child for having so many Portal additions where the chemistry seemingly didn't get developed.

It seems we awaited a number of later arriving portal additions for 2024. Circumstances where the vast majority of starters were already involved with Spring workouts, practice, etc.

I believe early chemistry development plus tremendous luck from injury bug throughout the next 13 months will be key. The difference between this [2024] year and the 2025 season is we don't have a massive coaching carousel / turnover for the coaches to be on the same page going in. That [and that the bulk of the Portal players should be enrolled in a few weeks] should parlay into better chemistry.

Could be 10-2 and in the playoffs or could be 13-0 as SEC Champs going into the playoffs.
