I would say Nick Saban deserves credit as well.

I guess LSU will just have to do what every other team in CFB has had to do ……just play without a secondary at all. LSU lost the ONLY db coach in football.

Amazing

You had ricks and stingley both years.

Are you really complaining?

Hell yes, I'm complaining.

Where were Stingley and Ricks this year?

And Raymond put Darren Evans on the field instead of McGlothern until the very end of the season last year. Awesome talent eval there.

Flott had a nice year this year. Flott was abysmal last year. That was also Corey Raymond.

Why would we allow Corey Raymond to go to Florida?? We accepted the same job at a rival. We have the ability to pay him. So why the hell would you let him go?

Would it be ok with you and some of the others on this board if a select group of us don’t freak out over the man that’s in charge of the 127 ranked unit last year and the 91st ranked unit the year before? There have been a few years sprinkled in during his tenure where we have been solid , but his overall defensive back ranking for his entire coaching career is 33. fricking 33! If you fools still think LSU is DBU then I don’t know what else to tell you. Go look at his secondary’s rankings for yourself if you don’t believe me.

CBK decided not to match Florida or told him to look elsewhere

LOL Rick's didn't even want to be here most of the time let alone play.

He was complaining about players and recruiting.

Stingley and Ricks were two top corners. Stingley was really hurt and ricks played in every game last year.

Everyone loved ricks up until his "injury" this year.

Here’s a thought. Maybe there are other really good assistants that Kelly (third winningest active coach in college football) would rather pay. How about letting him bring in his own people?

The play on the field was better under Cooper. That really can't be argued.

Stingley was going to be at LSU anyway, and he was a star as a true freshman, so I think Raymond as a developer might be a tad overstated. The biggest blow will be the recruiting that he does.

We will never struggle having skill players, QB and OL and DL that is where we need better recruiting.

He is not responsible for it in the least. We had great DBs under Stovall , Arnsbarger, Archer, Curley, Gerry D , Nick , etc. DBU is about the talent in this state. Their is a lot of it. We get 2/4 best every year and 4 or so total, we are fine. Look at 2019, 2007, 2003. How many of the starters were Louisiana kids. Half or so. We always lose DBs to other schools. We always pick up out of state DBs. It will equal out. We need the 3-5 difference makers in energy class , that’s it. Doesn’t matter where they play, but hat what you have to have.

Did either of them play for Raymond? I believe that was Cooper.
