re: Take it for what it's worth... - macaoidh
Question is will he qualify? He needs to finish strong in the classroom.
Take him anyway. If he doesn't qualify, place him somewhere and get him back when he graduates JUCO. He's that good....
This would be Pickens I’m almost sure. On his OV rn, been surrounding talk about him flipping for months, Auburn not in a good position. Hopefully we can flip him and get Keon on board tomorrow, that would be a huge day.
Pickens is a must-get. He's the best player left on LSU's boa...

re: Tell me about Stingley? - macaoidh
Good post. I agree. While I still think it's a bit of a longshot, if we could get Ingram back next year, it'd be huge.
The thing is, if you watch Deculus in detail what you come to is the conclusion that if you could put him at guard he'd be a killer. A Hines-Deculus guard combo,...

re: Tell me about Stingley? - macaoidh
Let’s hope his game matches the hype cause I’m thinking we might lose Fulton also. Hopefully that’s wrong and stingley isn’t immediately forced into the starting lineup.
I bear good news on this subject, because per a conversation I had with somebody on the inside today they don't ...

re: Ty Davis starting to like Penn St? - macaoidh
Ty Davis compares to Jeremy Hill very closely from what I can see. He might have a little better top-end speed, though Hill never really got caught from behind until he got to the NFL....

re: What do you know about Myron Warren? - macaoidh
It is Deng. He's going to visit Cal and here. Already been to Virginia Tech, A&M and UCLA. Seems like Sean Williams would make more sense because he's a guy you can line up inside in a four man front for your rush package, but I'm not going to turn down the No. 1 JC edge rusher at this point, esp...

re: Alvinosky lafluer Coffeyville juco - macaoidh
He's 6-0 and 195. If you sign him it's as a safety. He'd be a junior, same as Monroe, Harris, Delpit and Stevens. I'm not completely sure that works....

re: What do you know about Myron Warren? - macaoidh
Any thoughts on how good he is?
He's Benny Logan. Even from the same part of the state. You take him, you won't get anything out of him until his third year in the program. By then he's 6-4 and 280 pounds and he's a grown-ass man, and if he's like Logan was he'll have been 100 p...

I'm told Jay Ward committed to LSU... - macaoidh
...so there's that. Heard about it at the basketball game tonight from a guy who sits by me and is pretty heavily connected. Don't see it reported anywhere, though....

re: LSU 2019 Basketball Recruiting Thread - macaoidh
Here's the latest offer by Wade (and specifically Greg Heier, who was the one actually making the offer)... Khadim Sy (pronounced SEE), a 6-10, 240 pound JUCO sophomore at Daytona State College in Florida. Sy, originally from Senegal, played his freshman year at Virginia Tech in 2016-17, averagin...
It's a desperation heave no matter how we slice it, you only hope if we get both Ish does turn out to be an absolute beast because that's the only reason to spend 2 scholarships on 1 player (Especially when they play the same position). Or maybe out of a miracle Rodney is a competent rota...
They're still going to stack the box. So 4 wide outs and a single back set and they're stacking the box? Lol
What they're going to do is load up and blitz the house against us until Burrow and the receivers prove they can handle it....

re: LSU Baseball 2018 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread *Old Thread* - macaoidh
Dugas is hitting .383 for Danville right now. 23-for-60, 3 doubles, 2 triples, a home run, 13 RBI's and 16-19 in stolen bases. He's committed two errors in 17 games, mostly at second base but some at short and some at third. Bianco is hitting .250 (10-for-40), with 4 doubles, a triple and ...

I don't see any way you could carry those two with 19 or fewer pitchers. You'd have to lose Threadgill and Gunter, which I have no information will happen....

Pickering on one defensive end and Sopsher on the other really ought to anchor your defense for two if not three years. They're prototype 3-4 defensive ends....

I'm going to guess at a roster here... Catchers (3): C.J. Willis, Brock Mathis, Braden Doughty Infielders (8): Josh Smith, Brandt Broussard, Hal Hughes, Saul Garza, Drew Bianco, Gavin Dugas, Chris Reid, Cade Beloso (although I wouldn't be surprised to see somebody get signed this summer and one ...

There might be somebody else we're not considering, you know. Jordan Loving could come out for baseball. This is a kid, after all, who hit three home runs in a game back in April. EDIT: Loving was all-state...
He was one of the the most well-rounded athlete in the greater New Orleans...

re: LSU Baseball 2018 (and beyond) Recruiting Thread *Old Thread* - macaoidh
He's now down to .366, as he's 15 of 41. But he's up to 11 RBI's, which leads that team (two other guys are tied with six), and he's stolen 10 of 12 bases in 13 games. So far Dugas looks like a big addition. He's a Josh Smith from the looks of it....
