re: Yuat Alok is the guy Wade is likely to finish the basketball recruiting class with... - macaoidh
Williams just seams like an undersized high energy PF. Someone who would thrive in cbb, but is almost a dime in a dozen in the nba. If the charges never occurred was he really a certain one and done guy?
Not necessarily, but with a lot of these guys it's not really about their draf...

re: Yuat Alok is the guy Wade is likely to finish the basketball recruiting class with... - macaoidh
Of course, the other piece is that they might end up taking both. To do that would mean somebody on the roster who's scheduled to return, won't. I wouldn't hazard a guess who that might be, though....
He said the day before LSU played Alcorn St. that indications were Emmitt Williams would not be charged. To be fair he didn't mention recruiting but Wade was in the studio (they had just finished interviewing him) .... so I took that as they were still recruiting Williams. Hanny mentioned...

Yuat Alok is the guy Wade is likely to finish the basketball recruiting class with... - macaoidh
...he's a 6-11 post guy from New Zealand, of all places. Currently at Chipola JC in Florida, which is where Heier used to be the head coach. Very raw. Only averaging about 10 points and 3 rebounds a game at Chipola right now after averaging 8 and 5 last year. But you can afford to take a raw p...

re: Our 3 Star Recruits - macaoidh
But neither blow me away with their agility or vision. Definitely not their speed.
You really don't need that much speed to be a highly productive running back. Dalton Hilliard's 40 time wouldn't impress a soul, and the Connor kid Canada had at Pitt last year was probably a 4.7 or...

re: Our 3 Star Recruits - macaoidh
If we took Matthew Baldwin, we'd "only" have a three-star quarterback, but that kid looks like one of the best downfield passers to come down the pike in years. Stars matter in general, but what really matters is your ability to evaluate talent. Miles' staff was (other than at quarterback) one of...

re: Looking ahead: 2018 Defense - macaoidh
Here's what you root for. Ole Miss gets absolutely murdered by the NCAA and all their players get to transfer with no penalty, and Breeland Speaks, who almost came to LSU out of high school, decides to transfer here. He's a junior and he could go pro after this season, but one more year and he's ...

re: Our lowest rated recruit - Dantrieze Scott Highlights - macaoidh
Am I the only one who imagines this kid putting on 30-40 pounds and playing the three technique? Seems like he could be a thinner, faster Michael Brockers with a little time. Brockers was about the same size at this stage of his recruitment....

re: K’lavon - macaoidh
I'm holding off judgement for now though. It was a good win against the Gheytors and I'll take it any day because we needed it and Frick Florida. But now a good SEC team is coming to visit next weekend. The negativity has been mostly silenced. It looks clear that most of the negative posts (t...

re: Wade update on basketball freshmen - macaoidh
As I understand it we're not talking about things which break the bank. They're little things that cost $50,000 here and $30,000 there, and it's still six months before they happen....

re: LSU Baseball - Fall Ball Primer - macaoidh
I'm told that in the individual workouts Storz hits the ball an absolute mile. Whether that translates into anything in the scrimmages I have no idea, but they're really impressed with his power. As in he might have more potential than Deichmann....

re: Lighting a candle - IF the AD were to be replaced? - macaoidh
Del Conte is at TCU, not Texas Tech. But he's one of the best in the game. Another guy who would have to get a phone call is Jim Phillips at Northwestern, who's hired excellent coaches and is building monster facility upgrades and has them competing at a lot higher level than they've previousl...

re: Look for O to convert a D-lineman to O-line - macaoidh
Glen Logan
This. He's 6-4 and 315, which is about average for what they have at guard right now, and if Justin Thomas has already passed him up he's not set for a whole lot of playing time in the near future. They really need to look at either Roddy or Pettigrew at tackle. Th...

I'm gonna leave this here re: Mitchell Robinson... - macaoidh
We haven’t done any posting on the saga of seven-foot Chalmette High superstar basketballer Mitchell Robinson and the possibility he might end up playing for LSU and head coach Will Wade, but we heard rumors about the possibility three weeks ago and they’ve never gone away. Now, with the news...
