Whoever said he hates LSU that's simply not true. Last time we played in Tuscaloosa he had 4 or 5 couples of friends from his Baton Rouge days stay at his home.

It's too soon.

I hope he does (and we do it) at some point. But it needs to be a "last hoorah" type of thing. I wouldn't mind seeing a tribute to him outside Tiger Stadium at some point, especially if it was part of a small "park" where we had a Yankees Stadium sort of monument to all of our Championship winning coaches. Love to see him attend the opening of something like that. I'd love to shake Nick's hand and say thanks for getting us back to the top, but I still wouldn't piss on Alabama if they were on fire.

A decade of Bama sucking hind tit and us beating the ever-loving shite out of them 10-12 times would make it a WHOLE lot easier!!

Don't think an individual honor would happen, but I could see him returning on a celebration of the entire 2003 championship team anniversary at some point.

Do you think he wants to leave Jupiter Island to accept some type of plaque at a university he spent a few years at?

I think we will honor the 03 team in 28 or maybe 33 and he will be invited, but I don't think we'll honor just him....I'm thinking the same for O and Les when we honor those teams.

I consider us beating him in 2022 to be his going away present.

I sure hope not! LSU has moved on and won 2 rings after he left…he actively tried to prevent that and did in fact cost us a 3rd! He burned that bridge!

No, we don't need to be honoring former coaches. We don't have any coaching legends.

We need to keep statues on campus to a minimum or we'll look like North Korea -- or worse, Texas A&M.

I'm all for honoring the 2003 champs when the time comes, and Saban should be invited to join them. If he gets booed that night when his name is called, too bad.

Sure he will. It was counter productive for him to do so while still at Bama. He would've been booed. In 4 years after Kelly beats Bama 4 in a row LSU would cheer for Saban.

so I doubt he does anything at any other school or the Dolphins in the future.

He def isn’t doing anything with the dolphins. He is prob the most hated man in that teams history. I’m surprised he bought a house down there honestly.

Do you think he will come back after “frick you saban” was chanted at him in tiger stadium?

Not happening

Why would he do that? Had he stayed here he wouldn’t have nearly the amount of mulligans he got at Bama. He knows this.

Dude gave us an undefeated national championship. Whether you like it or not HE assembled the team and coaching staff to get it done. HE brought the LSU offense into this century with his hires...Give the Man his due!!!!

Because you get to an age where recognizing your former players and administration is worth the time. Because he can now do anything he wants, and while he certainly will be mostly recognized for his time in Tuscaloosa, the time he spent here was significant. I believe one day he will be cheered alongside his 2003 team. His first champions.

He probably doesn't want to come back considering he never came to accept his LA Sports Hall of Fame induction

Refresh my memory: Wasn't that during bad COVID times? Or they inducted two classes at once and kinda later than normal because of COVID?
I also think it's one thing to show up at the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame when you are the Alabama football coach. It's another to show up at Tiger Stadium for a team honor a few years after you retired.
