Rationally, yes. And I agree that it should be.
I don't think we're dealing with rational actors in this situation, with respect to the media. There are people that will want to keep the volume turned up on this, justified or not.

Then press charges, it's that simple. Running to social media about a cover-up and refusing to go to the police to press charges call her intentions into serious question.
There is a process in place to hold criminals accountable. That is filing charges with the police. If she is refusing to do so, then she is simply trying to win in the court of public opinion.

Well yea losing the appeal wouldn’t mean that it was guaranteed charges were coming.
The fact he won the appeal makes it look like it’s a really weak case since title ix heavily favors accusers and the standard is much less than beyond reasonable doubt.
I think it’s reasonable Hillar could come back with no charges, of course she will accuse LSU of covering it up or paying him based on how this has gone.

The player that she is accusing. (Assumption Shanklin). She also said she went to the hospital and got a rape kit test done. Said Shanklin admitted to it as well.

Yea at this point a logical person would have to call into question a few things.
The running to social media, the posting a video alleging a coverup but it doesn’t show that at all, losing the appeal, now claiming he offered her 1k to go away. Either produce text or when it happened. It would be really dumb to text or email her an offer and equally as dumb to do it in person considering how much surveillance is around today.
A lot of holes and things not adding up.

I’d be curious if what she said was true how he would be able to win an appeal. All of this alleged proof would make it hard to win an appeal. Especially in one that heavily favors the accusers.

She straight claims in the video post that he admitted to raping her, but they somehow overturned their decision on his appeal.
Something simply does not add up.
Either:
1) LSU ignored a confession of the criminal act and chose to somehow approve his appeal
or
2) He acknowledged that he had intercourse with her, and she is claiming that as being equivalent to admitting he raped her.
Those are two very different things, and I seriously can't imagine the LSU Title IX office/committee allowing that type of ridiculous decision-making given the climate of things in this country and how social media works.

Rape is terrible .....and rapists should rot. ....
But sex regret is not rape. And the continual rape accusations of regret sex really hurts actual rape victims.

EBR juries are reluctant to convict or even indict in Date Rape type cases. There are a lot of cases where a person would get 20 years in Massachusetts, but a local grand jury didn't even indict.

Yea she is likley trying to claim it’s 1 but she did a bad job of presenting that evidence.
