Are criminal charges not being brought???

Dude you are a troll and dont even know if it is legit. Could very well be someone after $$, as usual.
That's exactly right. Nobody knows any of that yet and so it's pretty fricking insensitive to talk about it on message boards and throwing out comments like "Oh, Sankey would be all over this"

Do you have proof? If not delete this. Very possibly ruining a kids life over a rumor or suspicion is pretty fricked up

Well we have one side of the story currently. If shankin did indeed do it he should be locked up.
If he didn’t then it’s more of a Trevor Bauer situation.
From the outside it looks like she filed a complaint, won the original, then lost on appeal, and then instead of going back to the cops went to social media.

Oh please sweet baby Jesus let whoever this is no longer be part of the football program and please don't let there be a shred of wrongdoing on the part of the athletic department. Sankey is frothing at the mouth wanting to find something with this I bet.
Wonder if your reaction would be different it was your daughter, sister, niece etc.
Some things are bigger than football.
He merely typed that he wanted LSU to be no part of it.

Really? Thank God you are hear to clear that up for us.
I was debating this. "Football player allegedly rapes girl. Good look? Or not good look?" I was on the fence, but you convinced me.
"Not a good look" has to be the laziest, most worn out Twitter catchphrase ever. Be better.

If a player did do this, then he deserves the time. However, we have seen over and over that lots of scorned women make up bs. This one seems very sketchy. But again, if true, whoever it is deserves punishment.

What is this title 9 stuff? Like school court? I don’t understand how a rape charge isn’t a criminal matter or am I reading it completely wrong?
Posted on 9/22/26 at 11:25 am to LSUGrad9295
I guess I’m confused, why was this a title 9 issue from the beginning? Isn’t that about fairness in sports??
Why wouldn’t she go to the PD right off the bat after the hospital visit?
Bc if he committed a crime you want him to go through criminal process ASAP.

He's guilty of sexual assault from some school judicial system and his punishment is suspension from the team?
I was under the impression he was cleared by the school's investigation but was booted from the team because there were some ongoing issues with the case (like what we see now). But I am not certain.

Unfiltered with Kiran: District Attorney investigating after video surfaces claiming sexual assault by an LSU student-athlete
This story makes it seem like a cover up. Apparently she has video of one of the LSU officers saying the below. Get these pieces of shite out of here

I’m going to be straight forward with you. In just what I’ve seen, I see issues and I just want to be honest with you. That doesn’t mean he’s not going to be arrested but it could mean he could be arrested and then it’s just…you want to talk about accountability, right? You can ask Detective Revet, we arrest people all the time and what happens? It just doesn’t get prosecuted, and they’ll just dismiss the case,” the two officers told the student in the video

So, have you seen the issues that this person was referring to, regarding her case? Sounds like they weren't convinced of her claims. Maybe it is all legit, but you dont know the entire story, only 1 side.

So I looked it up, it’s title ix because it involves two students. According to google, which we are seeing here the accuser can go title ix school side, the city, both or none.
It also does say title ix, works on a lower standard for a guilty so logically if someone is cleared of title ix wrong doing it will be less likely that a city would be successful in criminal charges.
It’s essentially title ix because it’s two students, one who happens to be an athlete and title ix protects against sex based discrimination which SA would fall under.
So end of the day title ix moves quicker does different things requires less evidence or at least standard for guilty vs the DA office. She could have chosen to do both at the same time.
We have one side of the story here, hers which upon appeal lost.
Verge is probably smarter than getting his hand caught in the cookie jar twice, so I highly doubt after finally getting the top job he decided to put his thumb on the scale and try to sway it, especially for what could be a de that hasn’t done anything on the field.
It looks like LSU did what it was suppose to do, they took the report, someone missed team activities while suspended, appeal went through and was allowed back.

Was Kiffin the LSU coach when the alleged crime was committed?

That's a bit of a mental stretch for you to take my post and just assume I don't care about the alleged victim. If this is real, whoever is guilty should be punished to the maximum extent of the law in my opinion. I think every logical human being would agree with that. I was just expressing my hope that LSU didn't have a role in pushing this under the rug. Last thing we need is another Les Miles type of scandal.

FEDGOV requires all schools receiving federal grant money to have a disciplinary process investigating sexual assault on Campus.
LSU has a policy requiring all employees report any instances or accusations of sexual assault to the title nine office.
Verge and Miriam got suspended years ago because they did not follow that policy

Yeah, but he forgot to virtue signal to us all that he is not ok with rape. That is not ok, yall.

It kind of sounds like the BRPD chose to just hand it off to the LSUPD as though they did not have jurisdiction. Nothing about the BR legal system sounds legit in this whole scenario.
