I know, I know. it's there, he's just got to find his mind to do it. he needs to be watching Cool Hand Luke over and over and over again.
Praise the Lord! WE have a stud RB and a really solid RB, and another freshman full of promise in the lineup. Protect us from injuries, please. I know that sports aren't really that important, Lord, except to us fans. Sometimes.

We know what he is. He can contribute in spot duty and certain designed plays. At this point in his 5th year he’s not about to become “THE GUY” but with our depth I’m happy he stayed

Even if he doesn’t become an nfl draft pick.. it’s nice to have some maturity and leadership for our younger guys.
That is something we don’t see anymore bc of the portal

I don’t see why you should expect him to do more than Josh Williams or Kaleb Jackson. Both played more than he did last year. Glad he will be here to give us some depth at the position though

The cut he made that blew his knee was incredible.

His YPC (5.3) was the same as Jackson and better than Williams (5.2). He was also a better blocker than Jackson. That's not saying that Jackson won't be better, he was only a freshman and I expect him to improve.
But Emery excelled receiving out of the backfield. However they use him, I hope he does really well.

You never know when a guy finds himself and has a breakout season, but I’m not holding my breath.

Leadership? How can you look for leadership from someone who tried to transfer away from the program? Smacks of desperation.

I don't remember the exact timeline, buy if you're entering your last season of eligibility and there are 7 other RB's on your team with remaining eligibility, why would you not try to find a good team where you'd have better odds at getting some snaps?
Because I personally think that's a pretty good way of showing that you still want to play.

He decided to come back. It's not like he didn't have options after entering the portal. Hell,I think he even committed to ucla and backed out

Been feelin that way . I've seen this guy in so many high school games doin amazing things and you just expect that carry over to college ,the high hopes. But nothing but grade issues, injuries and it becomes a " man what could've been" thing. If he don't have an amazing season I don't see him being drafted

I don't want to shite on the guy. I do not know him or have any inside information, whatsoever...
However, what has he ever done to say that he is a leader, or mature?
He has been here seemingly forever, but I have not heard a single thing to suggest that he is a leader, or mature...
old =/= mature.
He may be mature and a leader, I do not know... but simply claiming that "its nice to have some maturity and leadership..." is a crock of shite.
I don't know if he is good for the locker room, but neither do you.

Yep, doubt he becomes the guy but he can make some elite plays like he seems to do each year under Kelly. Worst case, if he’s in shape he makes 5 or 6 explosive players with half of those in huge games. Book it.

I hope he can be a solid back who holds very tightly to the ball.

He seems to be a determined young man. I pray the best for him this year and all his years to come.

Emery sucks arse. He should have transferred to Nicholls or McNeese.

I hope he's over that case of fumbleitis
