Extending one or two plays with his legs paid off in a big way.

I have a highly positive outlook on this coming up year.

I’m going into this game with no expectations. It’s basically our second team against them. (Not sure on what their starter’s status is). It’s probably gonna be poor play on both sides .

Hell if the line blocks half decent he’ll look like all world against our crappy secondary.

The OL will be a makeshift unit at best, no TE security blanket and only WRs will be Anderson/Hilton unless they play Watkins.
They may rely on josh Williams and CD for quick screens and hope they get one block and a decent run. Will be interesting to see how they game plan it with Sloan.

If Flau’jea stays I would guess Hilton also stays.

The three best LSU players on defense IMO will be there...Swinson, Weeks, and Alexander. And I certainly don't think LSU will suffer with Sage not being in the game. I haven't heard anything about S Jones or Paez, but Swinson playing is really crucial. Also, Paris Shand who I think is underrated said he was playing. On offense, I don't see how the OL could be worse run blocking than the starters this season but of course the pass protection needs to hold up.

And if Sloan has one live brain cell, this would be the perfect opportunity to have put in a wildcat package with J Johnson with all the extra practice time. I think Baylor would keel over in shock that LSU finally had a package that almost every other college team has had for years.

It has been pretty obvious that those dislocated toes took away just enough speed to reduce Caden Durham's effectiveness. If those are OK, all CD would need is a crack and get in the open field and it would be all over.

Naw. He's exactly the kind of qb that Aranda knows how to shut down.

Yeah, no Offensive Tackles, Guard moving to tackle, Chester still at Center, This is scary.

We will see what kind of "play caller" Sloan is in this game.

Look for a lot of Horizontal passes which will surely lead to a boring game unless we break some.

I think he will. That seemed like nerves, like he was pressing too much.

Oklahoma game, Hilton looked relaxed and did what "he was supposed to". Meaning, if it were a short square-in, he'd run that and catch it. If it were a deep route, he'd run that, and if the ball came he'd catch it. Looked like he finally got that monkey off his back, and now he can go play.

He will be depleted of weapons. I don’t know Baylors situation though so maybe theyre worse off than we are

I hope not. Don’t need our returning starter risking himself in a 2025 preseason game. I hope so like they have done in the past. Rotate the QBs let Nuss start and play but give half the snaps to Hurley. This game matters zero in the grand scheme of things. Getting Hurley live game snaps is more important

Is Swann suiting up for an encore as a Tiger? This could be his night to shine.

I know Swann is entering the portal, but where goeth he?

Dave Aranda aint stupid.

He'll be blitzing the hell out of this Campbelless, Dellingerless and Jonesless OL and Nuss will be running for his life most of the game.

If the OL can protect, he should have a good game.

If they can't, it could be a long day.

That's the reason LSU isn't favored. We are bare bones on the OL which was a weakness pretty much all year anyway.

I expect a long day.
