How much money do you think LSU could make from hiring Mulkey? Is it more than 2 mill a year?

I never said hire Mulkey. I asked how much revenue Baylor brings in per year with her coaching, which nobody has stated thus far.

Give me a minute to find their financials...

LINK

not sure how useful that is since they're private institution, because I find the EXACT same Revenue to expenses pretty fuzzy accounting (in multiple sports)

I just dont see the value in bringing in a highly paid women's BBall coach. Women's basketball already bleeds a ton of money, it's the biggest red sport on the finances. You bring in a $2M/yr coach, it just gets worse, but at least we'll win more...

Is it possible for private boosters to raise the money and foot the bill?

WBB has hijacked this thread. It should be about our renegade Compliance Department trying to dehydrate elderly people.

This can’t be true because Lester Earl says compliance only became an issue during the Wade debacle.

J you can fault the ncaa for having stupid laws, but I’m not going to fault compliance for enforcing them when LSU’s big 3 programs have been rather clean the last 2 decades. They’ve had borderline illiterate kids qualify, kids with drug problems allowed to remain on teams along with other lenient acts that have showed a win at all costs attitude that people deny is present.

And yes Will Wade is the first person I would expect to complain about compliance considering his history over the last year. No shite he doesn’t like them.

I imagine private boosters willing to throw money at WBB are few and far between after the issues with Pokey followed by a lackluster Van Chancellor era followed by a further slide into mediocrity under Fargas.

Maybe hiring Mulkey wakes up some big time WBB boosters, I don't know.

According to this Baylor's WBB program brought in over $7.5MM in revenue last year.

Nobody likes them, why do you think they are getting overhauled as we speak? They are a constant hindrance to the athletic program.

There's keeping your programs out of NCAA trouble and over policing yourself but you can keep pretending they are one in the same and issues with battling Bahnsen are a new occurrence unique to just Wade

So does every other WBB program, nut sack. It's about losing less money.

LSU brings in 300k in revenue

So the solution is to hire a coach for double the salary of the current coach?

You would have to look back to the days when we had Augustus and Fowles to see if we made any money or at least broke even. Those were some of the consistently bigger crowds

True LSU fans don't want ANYTHING hindering the big 2 sports, fb, and men's hoops.

How are they a hindrance? Cause they enforce rules or what?

Who has been let go in part of the over haul?

if this is all true our compliance dept. is screwed up. perhaps they think turning in "all of the small stuff" will help them if something big comes up but they are stupid if they believe that. people that volunteer guilt without being required to get screwed in today's society. sad but true.

I am very skeptical this is true tho. I just can't visualize that the NCAA even has a rule giving time limits for team photos. it sounds fantastic

This has to end. No other school in the SEC has to put up with this shite. It’s not fair to these coaches. Heads need to roll. And don’t reassign them so they can be brought back in later on. Fire their asses.

Not sure if you all know the history of Compliance vs. LSU Football. But when Nick Saban was here and got really successful, he personally said he never wants to see Bo Bahnsen again in his offices. He put him on an island and had the power to do so.

Now, Bo has a stick up his arse about football. It wasn't made any better by LM's staff, the chasm grew. It's personal to him. LSU was the last staff in D1 to get iPhones, because they could not be call-intercepted like android phones.

Our compliance dept is against our football team, not serving them and helping them.
