Then how did we score 6 runs?
Game 1 I agree with him. Game 2 we were hitting Morrison pretty hard even before the big inning. He was very fortunate to have given up 5 runs. Their other pitchers? Fair enough and hats off to them. Morrison just didn’t pitch all that great. He gave up 5 earned runs in 3.2 innings.

They were a good team that could've earned the respect that Arkansas got had they been the least bit humble. LSU didn't light the world on fire, but did what they had to do to win. That should be the main goal of teams - win with humility, dignity, and grit.
Enter the arrogance of the Coastal coaches, which was also portrayed by their players, and the potential respect was tainted like a rotten egg.
So yeah, they were pretty disappointing.

One word SUNBELT. All their decent wins were midweek against pen guys. Only 3-4 legit wins against good teams at full strength. Was mismatch from the start.

You think they win 15 games in the sec?

Their all world Ace looked pretty hittable. His fastball was sitting at about 91 and that slider was good but didn’t seem like a huge problem.
The Friday game starter gave us more problems.
We hit their closer hard too, just right at players.
They hadn’t seen pitchers the caliber we have. That part was clear.
In all, I agree that they weren’t as much of a threat as we thought. However, let’s not pretend they were a lower level SEC team. They were better than that.

I was expecting more from Morrison the way they talked him up. Flukey was just as good if not better. If they left Morrison in we would have probably scored 8-10 runs. We hit him pretty hard

Don't remember UCF wining a National Championship in Football...Refresh my memory.

They were a good sunbelt team but would have been behind the pack in the SEC and would have been fighting for a 3 or 4 seed.

quote:Maybe so, I watched the game again. He was good the 1st inning. Inning 2 Hernandez and Stanfield hit 2 balls really hard right at people. Maybe after what happened(ejections) he lost his composure a bit? It’s definitely possible for how high strung he seemed to be? He really didn’t pitch well though.

not physical enough for that ball park or play
Is that why they hit the only 2 HR in the finals

They would make a good feeder school for LSU. Picking off their top two players every year could be fruitful.
Those arrogant bastards think they are God's gift to college baseball.

if Kade doesn't give you an entire game legendary shutout performance, this is probably going to game 3.

Never understand why LSU fans feel the need to put our opponents down.
All you are doing is putting our own team down.

Consider the last time lsu played in the national championship, Wyatt Langford & Jac Caglianone were in the Florida lineup. They are already in the bigs. They had a 3rd player Waldrep already make his debut as well.

Had arkansas not choked and forced us to use Kade on Thursday this series could have gone much differently.

Yea, they had just as many out of state kids and transfers as LSU
